John Carney shared a quote
Art and Faith by Makoto Fujimura
“Perhaps, I ask as an artist, being an artist is not an anomaly to faith, but is central to faith and to the place of the church in the world; and in order to understand the fullness of the grace of God, we all must think, act, and make like an artist.”
Makoto Fujimura
John Carney shared a quote

“God does not just mend, repair, and restore; God renews and generates, transcending our expectations of even what we desire, beyond what we dare to ask or imagine.”

“Of course the tallest monument in Paris is the Eiffel Tower, named for the visionary engineer who designed it, Fred Tower.”
Michael J. Rosen, Mirth of a Nation: The Best Contemporary Humor – An Anthology of Original Satire and Wit from Top Humorists

Stephen Mansfield
“A banker can be as called and as pleasing to God as Billy Graham may be when he preaches. A brewer can serve as valuable a role in the kingdom of God as a missionary, a priest, or a pope. This is the truth of Christianity and this, too, is a core truth of the Guinness story.”

G.K. Chesterton
“Complete self-confidence is not merely a sin; complete self-confidence is a weakness.”
G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy

“If you are doing research on the Internet, never use anything in the first page of results. In order to make it seem as though you took more than ten seconds to Google the facts and figures in your article, take your information from the fifth or sixth page of Google results.”
The Bureau Chiefs, Write More Good: An Absolutely Phony Guide

“Twain’s moods changed frequently, and it is unrealistic to saddle him with one dominant emotion during his final years, when he was as likely to assume the part of the joker as that of the angry prophet.”
