Hi Lani! I just received my book When Water Burns from Amazon today :) I can't to receive my autographed copy later this month or next month. I'm so excited to be reunited with the characters. Gotta go, I just put the book down so I could send you a quick post. So far I'm LOVING it!

Im always particularly thrilled when a "western" / non-Samoan reader enjoys my book because i do worry that the emphasis on the setting of Samoa will make the story difficult for western readers to relate to. The Pacific cultures do have a lot of rich mythology which make for great 're-interpreting' and storytelling! I hope you daughter enjoys the read as well.
