The first thought of the character was that she was small in stature. Which lead me to the gymnast angle. And to ramp up the drama, a gymnast that has lost a leg. As far as an actual 'who' inspired, the closest real life flesh and blood person I see when I visualize Vivika, is Jennifer Love Hewitt. The hair, face, height, that sort of thing. She's always struck me as playful, quick witted, etc. I've watched a few of her interviews on late night talk shows, where I made note of her smile, her quick comebacks to the host, etc. In my mind's eye, she fit the bill. :) (less)

It changes the channels, and frees me up to think about the "real" story at hand. (less)
