10 Random Facts about Rayne Hall (video)
I've created a (short!) youtube video with ten random facts about me.
It was fun to do.

Making youtube videos, book trailers and such is my favourite form of procrastination when I should be writing, cleaning the bathroom or doing paperwork.

I've Commissioned a New Book Cover
Today, I commissioned a book cover for one of my forthcoming books: Six Historical Tales Vol. 2. I chose the same artist who painted the beautiful picture for Six Historical Tales Vol. 1, Nadica Boskovska.
I look forward what she comes up with. Seeing my stories take shape in paintings is always thrilling. Six Historical Tales Vol 1

Oooh! The Print Cover for Storm Dancer Looks Awesome
I was very happy with this book cover (a collaboration between two artists, Paul Davies and Erica Syverson). I had worked very closely with them to get it just right.
So the digital image was super... but it's nothing compared with the print!
The printed cover looks AWESOME.
The colours... the gloss... everything.
I want to dance around town, holding up the book, singing "Looking at this! Look at this!"

Does this make 'Storm Dancer' a 'Bestseller'?
I'm so excited! My dark epic fantasy novel Storm Dancer is suddenly shooting up in the bestseller lists.
At the moment, it's #422 at Barnes and Noble - out of the millions of books sold at B&N!
And on Amazon, it's near the top of two genre bestseller lists (#7 Historical Fantasy and #28 in Epic Fantasy).
I'm sitting on the edge of my seat, glued to the monitor, watching the bestseller lists change hourly. I wonder if Storm Dancer will climb any further, or whether it has gone as far is it will go.
The price for the ebook is reduced from $4.99 to $0.99 until 1 June; no doubt this special offer has much to do with the sudden boost.
The paperback is at the standard price.
If you want to buy the book (while it's on special offer), here are the links:

The Trailer for "Seers: Ten Tales of Clairvoyance" is Ready
I enjoy trailer making so much. It's my favourite form of procrastination. :-)
You can watch it here. It's short. http://youtu.be/gnnqZbPsVasSeers: Ten Tales of Clairvoyance

Yay! "The Bridge Chamber" can be read again, at last
I often get asked about my short story "The Bridge Chamber" which was published years ago in the horror anthology Read by Dawn Vol. 1.
At horror conventions, people would come up to me and say "Are you the Rayne Hall who wrote The Bridge Chamber?"
They told me that the story scared them like no other. Years after reading, it still frightened them.
Unfortunately, the publisher went out of business, and since they owned the rights to the story, I could not publish it elsewhere. The only way anyone could read "The Bridge Chamber" was by tracking down the book in a used bookshop.
This was vexing, because it's a good story and it deserves to be read.
Now there's good news. Someone else has bought the rights to the out-of-print Read By Dawn anthologies, and they've given me permission to publish "The Bridge Chamber" in my own collection.
So here it is, published in Six Scary Tales Vol. 4.
It's a good story. Scary. I scared myself when I wrote it.

Would anyone like to host my cover reveal on their blog?
Would anyone like to host a cover reveal on their blog?
I have three (yes, three!) book launches coming up very soon, with lovely covers. I don't have a blog of my own, that's why I use other people's. ;-)
The genres are fantasy, historical and horror. The publication will be some time this month, possibly next month, depending minor things that still need sorting.
If you like, you can interview the artist. (Or I interview the artist and send the ready-written interview ready for you to upload.)
Here are the URLS to some recent cover reveals other authors have hosted for me:
