C. Buck Jones is an award-winning author who writes science fiction and fantasy novels with a Christian perspective. When he retired as an engineer, he wrote to occupy his time and keep out of his wife’s hair. He enjoys soccer, walks with his wife, and spending time in God’s infinitely beautiful creation.

Good ideas to try.

It seems easier to sell in person, than online especially if you're an unknown. The idea of bonding over books really made sense to me. If I can make more opportunities, I am going to try some of the other ideas presented. Even if I

Fun to read.

The quirky characters and outrageous story made this a fun read. It reminded me of some old H G Wells type sci-fi. The twist at the end was perfect.

Worthy opener for the series.

Interesting premise with the antagonist appearing after a long absence, and the chosen one revealed by ancient magic. The supporting characters are interesting, and the pacing is good. Like many new fantasy series, there

Good advice

The author presents a lot of good advice. Unfortunately for me, much of it doesn't apply to my situation. I have two stand-alone novels and I didn't know the importance of writing series.

Interesting take on a classic concept.

The end of the world beginning caught my attention. The world building made it feel real. But some of the secondary characters came off as flat I struggled with some of the action, but enjoyed reading the book. I

Probably not the target reader.

I enjoyed the characters and the world, but I found the constant status updates distracting. They interrupted the flow of the story. Much like video games, every thing seemed shallow and incomplete. My guess is that I a
