The book is a tour-de-force. History does not get better than this. William is a great storyteller and a kind-hearted narrator. Some parts seemed dragged though. Must read for you, if you want to understand Mugals and British in India.

It's a good book by Steve...it may seem a little outdated but is still relevant. Some parts are difficult, long winding and I had to slog through. He could have easily cut it by 70-80 pages. Good one-time read. ...more

I wonder if any of you folk would like to read my books of short stories. They are historical fiction. They are based on incidents and people in the Gospels. They are not your usual Bible stories. My first book is a paperback published in 2005 by Crossbridge Books. It is called First Century Close-Ups and a second edition is published as an ebook titled Meetings and Encounters on Kindle. After that there is More First Century Close-Ups a follow on from those and possibly better than the first since I was more experienced.
My biogrpahy of King Herod could just creep into this genre and so might my futuristic novella Dry Bones. The title may give it away.
All these may be seen on www.crfpublishers.co.uk or on www.askdavid.com The latter is best as each book has its own page. I recommend askdavid for advertising your books.
