I was born in Blackpool England in 1949. Emigrated with my parents, to Australia in 1959.

We had ten moves in the first ten years of living in Australia and the family finally settled near Canberra
at Sutton New South Wales.

My wife and I have travelled Australia extensively and we finally settled in Cairns, Far North Queensland where I am now retired and just love life.

Why did I start writing? well, at the age of 70, I started to brew beer and keg it, my friends thought it was so good and asked for the recipe. I wrote so many recipes for friends that by the time I was 74, I thought that I might as well write a book about brewing beer! and I have not stopped writing since.

My latest book - Exerpt

I was feeling cold, very cold. I was assuming that I had rolled over and off my swag again. Opening my eyes, I saw only blackness; the fire must have gone out, I was thinking as I reached to where I thought the top of my swag was to retrieve my jacket and boots. I could not feel them in the dark, nor could I feel my swag, I looked at my watch, but I could not make out the time.
