The only girl in a family of boys, Alice found her best friends between the pages of a good book. Snuggled in a warm quilt, she chased bad guys with Nancy Drew, nursed the sick with Cherry Ames, and honed her imagination with Anne of Green Gables. As a teenager, she discovered Harlequin romances and has been hooked on the genre ever since.

Always a history buff, Alice earned her B.A. from Queen's University at Kingston with a major in English and a minor in history, then went on to teach those subjects at a high school level. Over the years, her life took many twists and turns, with several career changes, but her love of romance and her belief in happy endings never wavered.
