Go for a walk, and think about your characters, let them 'talk' freely. Sometimes when you are blocked it means your story has a 'knot' in it, and you need to go back and unravel the story to a point where your writing was free and easy. We all go off down the wrong road at times, and sometimes you need to backtrack. Hope this is some help. I don't know where you live, but I hope the books will be available to you one day. Best wishes, Kate(less)

Next year will be an exciting time - 'The Perfume Garden' is being published in the US in the Spring, and I have news to share soon about a new book.

Best wishes for a Happy Christmas!

Ahead of the publication of the new paperback (just look at this gorgeous cover Simon & Schuster created), The Silver Thread has been chosen for a Kindle deal. For a li Read more of this blog post »

Hi Steve - thanks, Goodreads is a lot of fun (if, as an author, you can resist the temptation to check out the reviews of your own books!). Look forward to seeing your recommendations. K
