DEMETER-9 is Now on Amazon for Pre-order!

descriptionHello all!

I am trying something new and putting my next book, DEMETER-9, up for pre-sale on Amazon. It’s the third book in the Humanity Shattered Series and picks up shortly after the events of TRESSELL 113. It officially releases on May 25, 2026.

I am super excited about this story. It was so much fun to write, and I feel it moves the world of Humanity Shattered forward in some cool ways. So I started it the same day I released TRESSELL 113. That was at the beginning of December in 2025. I was sure I was going to take a break during the holiday month, but I was feeling it and in the flow. Things were a little slower with my day job during the holiday season, so I was able to get some serious writing sessions in.

Getting the story down is the fun part for me. It’s almost like I see it visually in my head, like a movie happening scene by scene. I have to capture the moment by writing it out. I often hear people say my work is cinematic, and that seems true to how I get it down on “paper.”

I don’t worry about errors or how bad it is when I am just trying to get it down. I can bang out quite a few words in a session that way. I always think to myself, I can fix it in editing, just get it down now before I lose it.

I finished the first draft of DEMETER-9, and that felt really good.

But, I think I hate editing… I mean, at least today I do.

Going back and fixing stuff is a pain in the ass. My editing process involves a few different passes of the work. First, I go through it and make what I have readable with a pass of line and copy editing. I use Autocrit and Grammarly for this. They are great tools for authors that help me find crap that needs fixing, like repetition of words or phrases (which I tend to do a lot). I fix crap like word tagging (I struggle with this in my drafts). I go through and remove adverbs and adjectives so I can focus more on showing rather than telling in my writing. I try not to use adverbs and adjectives in my writing, as they say it's a big no-no, but I really suck at that, no matter how hard I try. I wish I could write a clean draft that already had that taken care of, but I guess I still need to keep working on that.

After I finish that first pass of editing, I read the story myself all the way through and make notes on what works, what sucks, and what needs fixing from a plot perspective. I end up throwing a lot of words away in this editing pass. It feels painful at times. There always seem to be huge fixes I have to make in this round of editing. Autocrit is really helpful as it points out plot holes and things I should consider to make the story stronger.

Then I send it to Beta Readers. I have a few trusted folks who read over the story for me and provide feedback, and I am forever grateful. That part takes some thick skin, though, because nobody likes hearing where things they create don’t make sense or seem screwed up. In a perfect world, I would just create a perfect work that needed nothing else, but that is not the case.

I take the feedback I get and try to see what fits to make the story stronger. Then I make adjustments to the story.

The last pass is one final read-through, where I always seem to find other last-minute stuff that needs fixing, like grammar or whatever else I find. It never fails, I can think I have it all perfect and then find some dumb grammar mistake.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because right now I am in editing hell, and since I put the book out for pre-order on May 25, 2026, I have to get this editing part done.

On another note, I recently threw out about thirty thousand words that I had typed with my freaking fingers on my fantasy project. I started to feel that the story was not moving in the right direction. I paused that project for now to finish editing DEMETER-9. I know, I just told you last month I was kicking ass on it. See what I get for opening my big ass mouth.

I plan to pick up the pieces of the fantasy story and retool it. I will use everything I have created and the characters I have begun to develop relationships with, but move them all in a different direction. That hurt a little, as I had spent some serious time on all of that. I kept thinking I could save it, but I dunno. I need to refocus on that project and see where it goes.

Anyway… I am excited because I will be spending the first week of April visiting my son and his girlfriend in Spain. I am looking forward to some rest and adventure.

Oh, I promise the Audiobook for TRESSELL 113 is coming soon. Anthony is working on the finishing touches now. There were some technical setbacks, but we are moving forward again.

P.S. I really dug this cover concept for DEMETER-9.

March is Upon Us. This Year is Already Moving Fast.

description

Hello Campers,

I can’t believe it’s already March. I’m starting to think I'll blink and the year will be winding down. I don’t know about you, but I have way too much stuff to do before that happens. So, what is happening?

Well, glad you asked. Let’s see…

I am waiting for the Amazon Audible release of TRESSELL 113. Anthony ran into a couple of technical snags that he is working through. I really hope to have it out very soon, fingers crossed.

I am over twentyfive-thousand words into HUMANITY SHATTERED BOOK 3, DEMETER-9. So far, the working title is sticking; I think it’s here to stay. I don’t know if any of those words are any good yet, but I have to get the story out of my head and down on Google Docs. After that, I will start editing and send it to beta readers for feedback. Then comes the inevitable rewrites to tighten the story up a bit. I hate to put a timeline out there, but my hope is to release mid-year.

Then it will be off to Anthony to see if he will have me again for the Audible version of DEMETER-9. I hope so, I like the continuity. I’ve been trying to figure out how to shorten that process, because I don’t love the lag between print release and audio release.

I hate things I can’t control.

Oh, I have also formalized my writing a little more, and it makes me very happy. This led me to make some adjustments to my day job, working with couples in our therapy practice, and to carve out a big chunk of Wednesdays for formal writing and book development. It has become my favorite time of the week. It makes it feel a little more legitimate. I also write as much as I can over the weekends.

Over the last six or seven months, there has been this slow development of another series. I mentioned it as a second project that crosses over to the high fantasy genre in previous newsletters. I’m really trying to lean into efficiency when executing this other project. I have written and compiled a series bible that is currently 437 pages long. Crazy, that is a whole book! It’s just random notes, really. It includes details about the world the story is set in, its history and lore, the creation of the world, races and creatures, politics, governments, chronolgy and much more. It’s a living document for the series. There are some great resources on world-building, and, of course, I had to read as many as I could.

Over the last couple of months, there has been some more progress on that front. I mapped out a ten-book series arc with outlines for each book. That took some time. I kept worrying that I was taking time away from writing HUMANITY SHATTERED, but creativity sometimes needs room to breathe. What it has allowed me to do is move between my science fiction/horror series and this high fantasy series in a fresher way. I work hard to spend equal time on each. When I move from one to the other, I can step into it pretty quickly and start writing rather than mentally chunk away at one project for a sustained period. That can get a little painful at times. Even with an outline. Especially in the messy middle of a book where you are trying to tie together the beginning and get to your flashy ending. I get impatient at times…

All this being said, the high fantasy series book one is in creation now. I am over thirty thousand words into it. Just like with DEMETER-9, I have to get it out of my head and put it down in Google Docs. It’s actually flowing pretty quickly because I was so methodical about doing all the work up front. There have been some real lessons learned from HUMANITY SHATTERED that I believe have allowed me to be much more efficient. It's nice to see progress in my writing process.

Storytelling is a lot of fun; it's rare that I am not thinking through some aspect of one of my stories. At times, I even pick up my phone and write or dictate a scene I am envisioning. Otherwise, I may lose it, and I don’t want to.

When will this other series release? I have no clue. I am so on the fence about how to roll it out. I still have not decided whether to write it under Shamon Harper or a pen name. I am leaning toward Shamon Harper, mostly because I feel like maintaining two presences is too much of a pain in the ass.

Also, there is this burning desire to wait until I have two or three books from that series complete before I even start releasing them. That sounds insane, right? Why would I do that? Well, there are some business reasons for it. Momentum is a big thing, and doing it in that form would allow for some pretty good momentum. It would be more efficient on the marketing front as well.

When it comes to marketing a book series, the conventional wisdom seems to be: run ads on the first book, and if it is good enough, you will get what is called read-through for the rest of the series. It basically makes your first book a lead magnet where you don’t make much, if any, money on it, and then you start making money as people invest in the series and move through it. I didn’t have that luxury with HUMANITY SHATTERED. Hell, I didn’t even know if I could sell HUMANITY SHATTERED to anyone. At the time, investing any more time to write a second book seemed impossible and counterproductive.

Now, it seems a little more reasonable to be more strategic in how I write and release a different series. If I release two books, or maybe even three, in very short order, most of the money from the first book will be reinvested in ads, supporting marketing growth and hopefully more sales. Money from read-through can be realized more quickly, rather than over the course of years. It’s just something else I am playing with in my author business. We will see how it goes.

Anyway, it’s safe to say that there will be one and hopefully two releases in the HUMANITY SHATTERED series this year. As soon as I finish DEMETER-9, I will be starting the fourth book in the series.

When I stop and think about all this writing, it blows my mind. I talk about it now like it is not much of a big deal. When I wrote DEAD STATION, it took me a year and a half. Everything seemed so impossible. Now, here I am talking about writing multiple books at once across two different series. It’s just nuts.

Anyway, I hope your March is awesome!

February 2026 Head Down Writing!

description

Hey there, gang!

Another month, and another update on the writings and goings-on of Shamon. I am deep in the thick of Humanity Shattered Book Three. As I write this, a few days before the end of January, I am closing in on ten thousand words. The goal is somewhere around eighty-five thousand. So, yes, I have some work to do. Eighty-five thousand will still allow me to have some meat after I take the grinder of the editing process to it. So far, I have lost around ten to fifteen thousand words each time I have gone through the editing process. It’s almost painful to see all those words lying around on the floor after you put so much effort into them. Words come hard-fought sometimes. There is a bit of a mourning process I go through after editing, but it is necessary to make the story lean and mean.

I think I mentioned before that the working title for book three is DEMETER-9. DEMETER-9 is the name of the planet on which most of the story will take place. Is there some significance to the name? Not really, I just like it. Many celestial objects are named after mythological gods and people. Demeter is the ancient Greek goddess of agriculture, grain, fertility, and harvest. The name plays into the planet's significance.

So far, we have had a short story about the origins of the virus in the WO9127 Solar System in VEHO: A BACKSTORY, the ill-fated mission on Kyler Station in DEAD STATION, where our team of heroes first encounters the virus, and the post-collapsed planet where the heroes dealt with the remnants of the virus in TRESSELL 113. I wanted to explore the process by which the virus actually brings down a planet and set our heroes in the thick of it, enter DEMETER-9.

The premise of DEMETER-9 is that our heroes are sent to investigate the connection between ACRON, the virus, and the governments that may be involved. The catch is that DEMETER-9 is a highly contested planet between the Jeraldi Systems Authority and the United Solar Systems Cooperative. The planet has perceived value by everyone, and it is an active battlefield because of that. So, we have a planet at war, where our heroes are sent to follow up on a lead while the virus becomes the one thing that brings it all down. What could go wrong?

I am so excited about where it’s going. It’s so much fun to write.

TRESSELL 113 is coming to Audible very soon. I was hoping it would be by the end of January, but it is slipping a bit due to circumstances beyond my control. I am told we should have something mid-February-ish.

Another project I have been working on is this high fantasy thing I have mentioned in the past. I am still plugging away at that for now. I have really been focusing on just the world-building aspects of this project and have not gone beyond that. I spend an hour or so here and there kicking the tires. Right now, I have sixteen pages of notes about what the world looks like and how it works. I have information on how magic is employed, geography, governments, economies, races, lore, war, history, and more.

I don’t have characters or a story yet, but I am taking my time and backing into it. I envision a high-fantasy series that pits the classic tale of light against darkness.

The business decisions on it intrigue me as well. Is this something I write under Shamon Harper? Is this something I write under a pen name? I don’t know yet. I don’t know if the business decision is to separate it from my Humanity Shattered Series and do it under a whole different identity, or just go with what I have. There are advantages and disadvantages to doing both. As a writer focusing on building this thing into a scalable business, this ends up being an important decision.

The fear of keeping it under Shamon Harper centers on the question: Will writing a science fiction horror series and a high fantasy series cause problems? Is there space in the audience for both people who love science fiction, horror, zombie apocalypse, and high fantasy stories, or should I put the work into building an entirely different audience for that? I am an avid reader of both genres, but I know I am weird. I just don’t know. If you have an opinion, I am all ears. Pop me an email at shamon@shamonwrites.com.

Anyway, I will send an announcement when TRESSELL 113 is released on Audible. Other than that, I hope you have a great month!

Shamon

P.S. The image was created on ChatGPT. I am a visual thinker, and it helps me write when I include images that support what I am doing. I was writing a scene in DEMETER-9 in which Jackson looks at the patch on his uniform and compares it to a patch from another ship. That got me thinking about unit patches from my time in the military, and I wanted to see what they could look like. Thus, the creation.

Happy New Year and Other Stuff!

description

Well, here we are…

It’s freaking 2026! That just seems insane to me. I could have sworn 2025 had just started. I have to say I don’t enjoy how fast a year flies by as I get older. For those of us of a certain age or older, remember when it took us the first four months of the year to stop writing the last year on checks? The kids these days will never know how hard it was for us.

Anyway, 2025 was an insane year for my little writing business. I released two books and spent more time learning about editing, self-publishing, and book marketing than I care to admit. After the first book, which took me eighteen months to complete, I released the second from start to finish in six months. That felt really good.

Well, here we are starting a whole new year, and I have goals for it. Lots of goals! I plan to release two books in the Humanity Shattered series this year. I already have the third book, with the working title "Demeter-9," started. I have a solid outline I like and have begun laying out the opening chapters. I got a great start on it right before Christmas, and had really wanted to do a ton of writing over the few days I took off, but ended up getting caught up in the Holiday spirit. Now, I have to get back on track in my writing. I also have a straw-man outline for book four in Humanity Shattered. That is very subject to change as I continue down the path of book three, but it does feel nice to have a path laid out.

I have also been chipping away at the other writing project that I mentioned last month, I think… Anyway, it falls in the high fantasy genre. I have spent some free moments here and there making sure I get the ideas and concepts that are swirling around in my head out on “paper.” After reading a ton of books on fantasy writing, I have been using a great resource to build out this world. T.M. Holladay has a workbook titled The Only World Building Workbook You’ll Ever Need. He may be right about that! It’s pretty cool. It has really helped me lay the groundwork for my high-fantasy world. This is all a stretch goal for me right now, as Humanity Shattered is my priority. It helps me to step away from things from time to time so I don’t get burned out.

What is my plan for this high fantasy writing project? I dunno right now. I want to develop a world and set a story in it. I envision that story as a series arc across a few books. Beyond that, I just don’t know. Part of me wants to write the first three books before I ever release anything, and part of me thinks that is just insane to write something and keep it on the shelf until it is ready to release as a series. Anyway, I am not putting that much time into it right now. More just scratching an itch from time to time and documenting the effort.

Oh, I almost forgot. TRESSELL 113’s audible version is well underway. I was able to listen to and approve a portion of the effort over the last few days. It sounds great, can’t wait for it to be finished for release. Hopefully, that will happen at the end of January or the beginning of February.

So, I will keep you updated as we walk through the year!

TRESSELL 113 BOOK 2 IN THE HUMANITY SHATTERED SERIES IS AVAILABLE NOW ON AMAZON

description

It’s been a whirlwind of a month!

The second book of the Humanity Shattered Series is now available on Amazon Kindle, Amazon Kindle Unlimited, and in paperback.

TRESSELL 113: A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE SPACE OPERA (HUMANITY SHATTERED BOOK 2)

It took me just around six months to finish this project from start to finish. This was such a departure from the first book, DEAD STATION, which was a year-and-a-half-long project. At times, I didn’t think I'd make it by the end of the year, but it all came together pretty well. It felt so good to improve on the process in all areas and apply what I had learned. The second story was such a smooth endeavor.

Last time around, I had to constantly stop and learn how to do a new thing as I moved from one phase of the process to another. This time, I was able to map out a story, complete the writing, and move into editing without any hiccups. Of course, I continued to learn and refine my process along the way. I have read so many books about storytelling, editing, and marketing that my brain feels like it is leaking something. I have also listened to so many self-publishing podcasts that it's insane. I may have an unhealthy obsession now.

I have also learned to be a much better writer between the two projects. This story feels so much more complete to me than the last one.

TRESSELL 113 is currently in production for an audiobook on Amazon Audible. It will take a bit to get it done. Anthony Aiello is returning to do this story! He did both VEHO and DEAD STATION as well. It feels good to have continuity on this. We are early in this right now, but it is coming.

I have already started to map out books 3 and 4 in the Humanity Shattered Series. Yes, more stories are coming! I plan to release both of them over the next year. I keep waiting for a creative pullback when I don’t have anything in the tank, but so far that hasn't happened, so I will go with what I have.

Also, another project is brewing… It’s really more of a concept at this stage, and I am not sure where it will go. I have been doing a deep dive into fantasy lately. We will see what comes of it. There are so many housekeeping things that need to be addressed first.

Just to give you a little bit of that, I have to decide whether to write them as Shamon Harper under the Shamon Writes branding or something else. Often, when writers enter a different genre, they rebrand and write under a pen name. That seems like a lot of effort to me, so I am working through it right now. If I rebrand, then I need to basically set up an entirely new website and mailing list. I don't want to do that right now, so I am leaning more towards using the Shamon Writes branding to include Science Fiction/Horror and Fantasy.

I have been doing a lot of research in world-building. For fantasy, that is a huge component. It can be a huge part of Science Fiction as well, but it lands differently for fantasy. Thus, a whole bunch more reading and research.

Anyway, more to come on that later perhaps…

Right now, I hope you check out TRESSELL 113 and let me know what you think!

Full Edit Mode - Engaged!

description

How’re ya now?

I don’t know if you ever watched LetterKenny, but I loved that show. Admittedly, I am pretty sure that the ideal audience for it is thirteen-year-old boys. This probably shows you my level of maturity, I guess, but who cares.

So things have been moving along at a clip lately. I have finished the first and second drafts of the follow-up to DEAD STATION. I am working through some edits, and by the time this newsletter goes out, it should be in the hands of some advanced readers for comment and critique.

I will meet with those readers individually and gather feedback. If I need to make some adjustments to the story, then I will do that after. I would like to have a pre-order for the second book up on Amazon soon. I don’t want to tie myself down to a release date yet, but I am really close now. It will either be in November or December.

What has to happen before that?

I need to finalize the cover. I have been working on a ton of concepts and have not really settled on a top two or three as of yet. Once I do, I'll test the market on those covers by using Facebook ads to see which ones get the most engagement. That will be the deciding factor on what cover I use.

I have to incorporate any last-minute story adjustments and finalize the editing.

Set the book up in Amazon KDP.

Order a proof copy of the paperback for evaluation.

Prep and Launch the new release marketing plan… ugh…

Reach out to possible audiobook creators so I can get that process going.

This has been my world lately, along with my day job, and doing my best to spend time with my family.

I am pretty proud of the follow-up story. It picks up in the days after DEAD STATION and is quite a ride. It has a lot of the same intense feel as the first story. I am excited for you to read it.

Once it's ready, I will be sending out some notifications.

P.S. The image is another concept cover for the next book.

This Year Is Moving By Too Fast

image: description

Good Grief, it’s October already.. Where has the year gone?

Am I the only one who feels this way?

So, things have been hectic lately. I started writing the sequel to Dead Station back in June. Then I put it down for a bit while I worked through getting the Audible version of Dead Station launched. Things have been flowing pretty well lately, so I have been back on the writing train. I am now sixty thousand words into the follow-up story. I hope to be done with it in a matter of weeks.

Productivity comes in spurts for me. I have super productive weekends, where I may write over five thousand words, and then I have weekends where I get nothing done. Lately, as the story has continued to develop, I have become more productive, and I plan to maintain this momentum until I complete it.

Then I will put it down for a couple of weeks and let it marinate a bit before I pick it back up for the editing process. I need a separation from the writing before I move into editing mode. The editing process last time around was the most challenging part for me. Now that I have a process and am not developing one for editing, I hope to move through it quickly.

All this means I plan to release the book by the end of the year. Hopefully. Once I enter the editing phase, I will issue a pre-order announcement, but I don’t want to do that until I feel like I have a solid grasp on the entire project. Oh, and somewhere in there, I will be sending it out for some advance reader feedback.

I have also begun compiling notes for the third book. Wait, did he say third book? Yes, I did. The story will continue after the second book. Do I know how many books will be in the entire series? Nope. Right now, I plan to write stories for this series as long as they feel interesting and there are things to explore. I don’t want to put it in a box. We are just getting started, and there is so much more to explore here.

There are a couple of tenets that I adhere to regarding the Humanity Shattered Universe. One, Things will only continue to degrade from here. Two, it’s a big universe, and there is space for a lot of stories that can be told there.

Oh, I also quietly did some updates to DEAD STATION and VEHO: A BACKSTORY. I had a running list of typos and editing problems that have been bugging me lately. I had largely ignored them, but eventually it was more than I could handle. If you were to go back and read VEHO now, it is a much leaner and more suspenseful story. I also updated the cover on Amazon Kindle for it. I wanted to cover to feel more like DEAD STATION’s cover.

DEAD STATION had a few errors that were just driving me nuts, so I fixed them. For some reason, in Chapter 33, Franks turned into a woman for a few paragraphs. Honestly, I have no clue how that even happened, or how I never saw it in all the editing passes. I also had a reference to an energy weapon near the end of the book that I missed removing. In my first draft of DEAD STATION, I had initially had the characters using phaser-type weapons, and the more I wrote it and read it, the more I hated it. It just didn’t feel like the gritty combat that I wanted. I wanted it to feel more like Aliens and a lot less like Star Trek. Given how often people say it reminds them of Aliens, I feel like I hit the mark with that change.

Shamon

P.S. The image is another concept image for the second book.

Adventures In Translation

description

Well, hello there,

It’s a new month and time for a new check-in. Where have things been lately? It’s been a busy month for sure.

In August, the audiobook launched for Dead Station on Amazon Audible. It has done well, giving a new level of access for people to enjoy the story. Getting all that set up and going took some effort.

Also, I took a deep dive into the world of translation. There were some mixed results in that front. Doing some translation work on Dead Station was something that I wanted to explore. I wanted to expand the story to a more international audience. Translation is a whole thing when it comes to writing. Of course, there are a ton of services that people use for this kind of thing. After conducting extensive research on the topic, I settled on a service named Shadow Scribe AI. The idea here is that Amazon lets you release your book in different Amazon marketplaces such as Amazon Germany, Amazon Spain, Amazon France, and so on.

Almost all of the services that I could find for translation had levels of service. The highest level of service was having a human translator. The middle level of service involved an AI language tool doing the translation and then having a human review it. The lower level of service used an AI language model to do the work and hoped for the best. I opted for the middle level of service, and so far, have received mixed results. Let me caveat this by saying that doing this work with human-only translation is very, very expensive. Of course it is… My author business is a pretty small operation, so I don’t have tons of money to blow on translation.

I did multiple translations of Dead Station and VEHO, the backstory. I had both stories translated into German, Spanish, French, and Brazilian Portuguese. The book was released in each of the target markets. I went with these markets and translations because all available information indicated these were the best markets for the Amazon Kindle platform performance.

As far as translations go, my German translation is by far the most successful. After creating a marketing campaign on Facebook and focusing on Germany and Austria, the book is performing well and has received positive reviews. My Spanish translation has been met with mixed reviews and is doing just a little better than breaking even. The French translation has not been well reviewed (Gotta love the French), but it has held its own in sales and is positive in revenue. The Brazilian Portuguese translation is the newest one I have launched, but it is underperforming right now. We will see what the future holds for it.

I am glad I went through that experience; it was another learning experience that I got to work through, and as always, I enjoy that.

It did pull me away from working on the follow-up to Dead Station for almost a month. I am now 37,000 words into that story, and I am shooting for 80,000 words in the first draft. I am moving along pretty well so far, even with taking almost a month off from it. Right Now, the Working Title is Tressell 113: A Military Zombie Apocalypse Space Opera Humanity Shattered Book 2. I know, it's a long title, but necessary for Amazon search.

The story picks up just a matter of days after the Dead Station. It follows what happens when the team heads to the colony planet Tressell 113. Writing the opening sequence was such a blast. I am trying to be a little more intentional about following my outline this time around. So far, so good, there might be something to this planning thing… My goal is still to release this second novel before the end of the year, and I'm on track so far.

Where The Hell Is The Audiobook?

description

Hey Everyone!

I was hoping to release the audiobook version of Dead Station at the beginning of July. Here we are at the beginning of August, and… It’s finally ready!

I am so excited about this. This ended up turning into a real mess, being stuck in the ether of Amazon approval land. The whole thing was supposed to take ten days and ended up taking a lot longer. I had to enlist the crack Amazon support team to move it forward. Fortunately, they got it back on track, and here we are.

Anthony Aliello and his wife Laurie are back! They worked together to produce and create the audiobook version of VEHO, and I reached out to them to do DEAD STATION as well. Anthony graciously agreed to take on the project, and I was so happy he did.

You can get it now on Amazon Audible! It is a whole different way to experience the story.

On another note…

I hope your summer is going well. I have been trying to balance spending time with my family and getting as much writing done on the follow-up to DEAD STATION as possible. I knock out as much as I can each week. Currently, I am at thirty thousand words, and my goal is eighty thousand. It has been flowing pretty well so far. I hope to complete writing it by the fall season, then edit and release it by the end of the year. It’s essentially reducing the time it took me to complete Dead Station, which previously took over a year and a half, down to six or seven months. I feel like that is progress. Let’s hope I make it.

So far, it has been fun writing it.

Life has gotten in the way a little bit over the last few weeks, but I hope to get back on track here as we move into the latter portion of the summer season.

On another note, I am always blown away by the response I get on my Facebook Page and Social Media in general for Shamon Writes. Seeing all the posts and responses asking when the Audible version is coming out or when the next book is due is awesome. I love interacting with people who have read it on Facebook. If you don’t already follow my author page there, please do. The Facebook page is
