Only a monster would do what I’m about to do. The thought of it sickens me. I feel numb. Not just my body. My mind. I don’t want to think about it. I don’t want to look down at the meat cleaver in my hand. I just want to go back inside, slip into my warm bed and fall sound asleep. After I do this, I probably won’t ever sleep again. I’m not a monster. I’m not. I’m just a mom who wants to protect her children. I don’t want to do this. I have to. It all started eight days ago. That’s when I first saw D.

Finally a Review!

After nearly three months, my newest novel, Thing Bailiwick; A Collection of Horror, has finally received its first review. I never know how readers will receive my writing. It’s unorthodox. It’s unconventional. It’s unchristian. It’s uneverything. They might consider it the scribblings of a moron or the scribings of a genius. One never knows. So when a book critic writes that it’s “one of the most powerful collections I've read thus far” it gives me hope. That my work is validated in this fashion is encouraging indeed. I guess I’ll keep plugging along. Thank you, Damnetha Jules from Horror Palace. Thank you.

Reviews are awesome!

I'm so grateful to all who take the time to write reviews. Your kind words are what inspire me to spend hour upon hour trying to hone my craft. These are just some of the words you have used to describe my writing. Thank you all so much!

Magical, gripping, masterful, powerful, intense, OMFG!, electrifying, brilliant, gothic, bloody, spooky, gross, disgusting, scary, gruesome, chilling, original, breathtaking, poetic, shocking, heartwrenching, twisted, enthralling, horrific, dark, fantastic, dramatic, explosive, stunning, sizzled, passionate, phenomenal, delicious.

Inherited Memories

Went to see Assassin's Creed, only to find that it was based on inherited memories, something I touch upon in Dark Horse, one of my short stories from Thing Bailiwick. I mean, it only makes sense. If the same nose can be passed down through generations, the same slanted eyes, the same cleft chin, then why not the same memories. We see it all the time, a child who can play like Beethoven without a single lesson, a woman suddenly speaking a foriegn language. Is it a miracle, or simply someone tapping into inherited memories? Hmmm.
