A. D. Stedman is an award-winning author and historian, who has written extensively on modern British politics and foreign affairs, previously teaching at Kingston University London and Newcastle University.

Winner of the prestigious British International History Group Thesis Prize, his acclaimed debut, ALTERNATIVES TO APPEASEMENT: NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN AND HITLER’S GERMANY has just been republished by Bloomsbury in several formats.

With a particular interest in birds - especially crows - as well as the environment and the natural world, Stedman is now writing for children. He is represented by Marianne Gunn O’Connor and lives in Northumberland.
