I came late to writing. No, that's wrong. I came late to publishing my writing. And what a thrilling ride it's proving to be.

At last, I am following my bliss. I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm dancing.
There was an old black and gold typewriter knocking about my childhood home. When I wasn't skinning my knees climbing trees or wandering aimlessly in the countryside with my dog and my dreams, I could be found, as now, typing away with imaginary friends wh

While in a 'writing vortex' it can be a thrilling ride but it is also satisfying to hone, correct, re-read and craft the work until you have that wonderful sense of completion. Hang on! It's never finished! Never perfect - I'll rephrase that - as good as I can make it at my current level of ability. Always learning - and I love that too.(less)

DAFFODILS RESEARCH

#WW1 Research passed the #Paxman Test! Daffodils #http://amzn.to/19iDLtI
Phew! Just finished watching the excellent series by Jeremy Paxman on WW1. I'm sure there was a huge team of researchers working on this programme and I watched with some trepidation to see whether the research for Daffodils would pass this stringent test.

I only have to do a tiny edit to one letter after watching the programm Read more of this blog post »

"Highly recommended

I started with Daffodils and was hooked. I usually just get free Kindle books, but had to read on and on. So refreshing as usually am just offered murder mysteries. You will not be disappointed in this series." Read more of this review »

Sorry for this extremely late response Joanna. I've only just found your comment. No, I never get tired of Jane Austen and have read her books time and again. I think I have Pride and Prejudice off by heart! I used to live in Bath, in Brock Street, between the Royal Crescent and The Circus. A perfect spot, and found by fluke back in the 1980s. Had some great parties there. Persuasion is also an excellent story, more mature I think, more layered. Jane Austen remains the ultimate role model for me as a writer.

Joanna Lambert I see you've given Jane Austen's Persuasion a five star review. This was my set book for English Literature 'O' level so always loved it. Plus it was set in Bath and Lyme Regis, one is the place I live, the other somewhere I've day tripped and stayed over - love the Dorset Coast. I may get Persuasion out and dust it off and read for old times sake, don't think you ever get tired of Jane Austen!

Thank you for Friending me. How's your own writing going?"

Hi Zoe, (love that name BTW!) Writing is on the backburner while I do my day job today. Then it's an edit ready for a free promo on 20/21st July and paperback coming out for Twisted Vine. Then a holiday but I'll take the laptop so I can edit my next offering, Daffodils. Then, come the autumn I'm planning to continue first draft of No. 3. Can't wait! I'm missing it! Selling your work isn't nearly as much fun as creating it.
How about you?
