“Writing is the dragon that lives underneath my floorboards. The one I incessantly feed for fear it may turn and devour my ass. Writing is the friend who doesn't return my phone calls; the itch I'm unable to scratch; a dinner invitation from a cannibal; elevator music for a narcoleptic. Writing is the hope of lifting all boats by pissing in the ocean. Writing isn't something that makes me happy like a good cup of coffee. It's just something I do because not writing, as I've found, is so much worse.”

did I mention that I had bought the original copy of Dr.Adder ( fuond it on a 2nd hand store) just after I posted that letter over to Ya -it has an after-word by P K Dick, who he depicts as a grumpy old man, seem sthat both of them were getting along, as regular friends.
And what is more the guy is in awe for Jeter!!!

About the photo, thanks! Ha! I wasn't board that day. It was a moment when I needed a new pic for my profile. I felt awkward about it. I'm a new author and have seen these great author pics set in studios. I knew my shots would just look like some chick at home. It wouldn't be anything special yet, I do like the image. For the life of me, I can't find the necklace in this photo. I'm grateful I took this pic before it was lost.
Thanks again for the comment!

WOW! That's so cool. I was to read a P. K. Dick short story collection of his for a book club last month so, he's been on my mind. I don't know why I join those things. I'd like to read along but I have no time to do much more than I can now. There is a documentary of his life on NetFlix I'll see soon. If you have not seen the documentary of Harlan Ellison's life, "Dreams with Sharp Teeth" on Net flix, YOU MUST! I have a picture of him with R. Bradbury hanging out together. They look like God and The Devil. Anyhow, catch that doc!
