Having read so many novels based in this world, and having adventured in it myself during so many gaming sessions, it's just about the most complete world I've known in Fantasy fiction. I'd love to battle the Zhentarim, match wits with the Red Wizards of Thay, run with Drizzt Do'Urden, walk across the magical Moon Bridge in Silverymoon, and draw wisdom from Elminster the Sage of Shadowdale. There's literally more to do than an adventurer could accomplish in ten lifetimes. A close second would be the Hyborian Age of Conan the Cimmerian.(less)

Sometimes, I'll just sit there staring blankly at my screen. Other times, I'll close it down and go for a nice drive, watch a movie, anything really to get my mind off it for awhile. Oftentimes, I'll come back with a fresh mind and continue on. Then there are those times when I'll just go around that wall, and start the next chapter. I actually had a chapter in the middle of "Dark Vengeance" that was the last part of the book I finished. I literally couldn't think of anything to put there until we were at the editing phase.(less)
