The Lynching of Hiram Wilson
On July 6th, 1870, a young man rode into Chariton, Iowa from Missouri. He sold his only horse, and entered a tavern on the town square, but never drank a drop. Local citizens, suspicious of anyone from Missouri as a possible horse thief so soon after the Civil War, summoned the local sheriff. Sheriff Gaylord Lyman went to the saloon to question the young man about his horse. Within hours, both men would be dead.
The Lynching of Hiram Wilson seeks to recreate these events and breathe life back into this long forgotten true story with a fictional account that will leave readers wishing that they could turn back the hands of time.
If you fancy a journey, this novel will be officially released in the building on the Chariton, Iowa square July 1st through the 4th and the author will be on hand to sign copies.
If you can't make it to Chariton for the book or the 4th of July festivities, you can purchase this book on Amazon or for your Kindle. I hope you enjoy The Lynching of Hiram Wilson.
