I liked it in the way I like Japanese literature of this sort. But some parts of it were very anti-women and that took me away from the warm and fuzzy feeling I usually get when I wrap up a book like this. The central thread is lovely though. |

"I appreciate what the author is trying to do and fully accept that this book just might not be for me. The author is a decent writer, but the story and character arcs and relationships simply didn’t go deep enough for me."
