This is so underrated - and takes a little to digest so I'll review it for the show soon. While it is more sci-fi and war drama than horror by today's standards, it must have been a fright in the 60s! A precursor to so much eco-horror right now too. ...more

Imaginative and surprising. I really love a killer point of view, but this turned that expectation on it's head. Never have a I found a silent and near-absent character in a book speak louder than PSK. Loved this. ...more

An intriguing entry into his body of work, this book had me wanting to know what happened next. While the ticking time-bomb effect is sometimes too cliche, this was random enough to be fun. More terror than horror, but I liked it a lot.
