The Everkingdom™: A Fantasy Universe
Welcome back to my blog! 🤗 I’m Ever King, author and creator of the Everkingdom™—an interconnected fantasy universe where each series serves as a gateway to a new world.
🌌 What Is the Everkingdom?
When I first started writing, I set out to build a universe. It was always part of the plan. I wanted to craft stories that didn’t just exist on their own, but were part of a greater design—worlds with their own histories, cultures, and legacies, each shaped by the choices of those who inhabit them. As each world I designed took shape, I realized they were not separate at all. They were reflections of one another.
Every book I write reveals another piece of that larger puzzle. Each new series I release will introduce you to another world I’ve built. The Everkingdom is where they converge.
🤔 Why the Name “Everkingdom”?
The name felt almost destined 🤩. My pen name is Ever King, so when it came time to name the universe I was building, the stars had aligned… or at least the letters did.
Ever + King + dom
It was simple, memorable, and fitting. “Ever” captures the idea of something eternal and ever-evolving, while “Kingdom” represents the many realms and stories that exist within one creation. Together, they perfectly reflected what I wanted this universe to be.
Now, every book I write becomes 'An Everkingdom Novel,' part of a larger universe that continues to grow. I think it’s brilliant, but you can let me know what you think in the comments!
📚 Where It Starts
Every series within the Everkingdom will introduce you to a new world—each with its own magic, history, and story. You can start anywhere, really.
For now, you can begin with Academy of Villains, the first gateway into the Everkingdom. And soon, there will be even more worlds to explore.
🧩 A Universe of Original Lore
From the beginning, I set out to create something that felt wholly my own—a universe with its own rules. Every world within the Everkingdom is built from the ground up, with original mythologies, symbols, and systems of magic that form a cohesive whole.
The goal was never to imitate what already exists, but to design something distinctive. I wanted to write a universe readers could step into and instantly recognize as part of the Everkingdom. Every symbol, term, and thread of lore exists to serve the greater story.
Even the terminology within this universe has been uniquely established. One example is the concept of the Heartstring: a profound mystical bond that links two souls, weaving their destinies together with an unbreakable thread of fate. I chose an English word with a poetic meaning—and gave it a new meaning of my own with magical properties in the Everkingdom universe.

Hello, and welcome 🤗 ❤️
I’m Ever King, author of Academy of Villains and creator of the Everkingdom—an interconnected fantasy universe where each series serves as a gateway to a new world.
I’ve decided to start this blog here on Goodreads as a way to connect more directly with the incredible readers who have discovered my work. This space will be a home for behind-the-scenes looks at the writing process, worldbuilding insights, character art, and a few fun giveaways along the way. 🎁

I write romantasy for readers who grew up on Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and Throne of Glass, but are now ready for something more mature, more magical, and more soul-shattering.
These stories are for those who crave powerful heroines, morally gray love interests, high-stakes romance, and the kind of worldbuilding you can get lost in.

The Everkingdom is a realm of cursed kingdoms, ancient secrets, and broken worlds destined to rise again.
Each series takes place in a different kingdom, with its own mythology, magic system, and lore.
Every series can stand alone, but they are all part of something larger—an expanding universe waiting to be explored.
🎨 What Are My Creative Influences?
My favorite dark fantasy world of all time is The Dark Crystal. Its haunting beauty and layered mythology inspired much of the atmosphere I write.
Many of my characters’ journeys are shaped by the anime protagonists I’ve loved for years: Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto), Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon), Light Yagami (Death Note), Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan), Zuko (Avatar: The Last Airbender), and Asta (Black Clover).
Never giving up and the power of friendship are two themes that will always be present in my stories, along with a few morally complex ideas about power and magic.
