M J Duff is an author of sweet, small town, love stories that remind her of the dirt roads that she grew up on. She has been reading and writing for most of her life, and has dreamt about putting her own stories out into the world for almost as long.

Her DEBUT NOVEL, Heart of Doolin, is the first in a three-part series called the Emerald Isle Trilogy.

M J is a thirty-something coffee lover, bookworm, police wife, mum of two, country music obsessed, and lucky enough to live in a small town in Aotearoa New Zealand.

When she's not daydreaming about her next happily-ever-after, M J can be found working in office admin, reading books, listening to country music, or taking walks on the beach whenever she can.

“If I want a different, more positive, more attentive, more passionate kind of love, then I have to be brave enough to stand up for myself and ask for it. Demand it, even. And not settle for anything less than what I want and need for myself. But, she realised, I also have to be open to receiving love in my body as it is right now. Not ‘one day’, when I finally decide that I’m worthy of it. I have to go after what I want right now, instead of just hoping that it will happen to me eventually. And if I get hurt in the process, then at least I can say that it wasn’t because I didn’t try. I have to choose, and then fight for, my own happiness.”
