Vicki,
Thank you for reading and reviewing Four Cuts Too Many. I'm glad the ending and the book itself was enjoyable. to answer your question, I get inspiration from actual people and pets, as well as my imagination. For example, my family always had dogs, but I wanted to put a cat in the series beginning in One Taste Too Many. Rather than making it up or taking what I read and translating that into RahRah's behavior, I interviewed a friend for almost three hours, who had owned/owned Siamese cats about their interaction, her relationship to them, etc. I also observed her cat ignoring me, checking me out, staking out her territory, etc. When I started writing, I mixed my research and my observations to create RahRah. The rest of my inspiration from actual people may be a mannerism, a trait, something they say, something from one of their jobs, a twist on an anecdote, etc. I never directly translate an actual person or pet onto the page.

Once you read the first three books in the series - which if you are into e-reading will be on sale: One Taste Too Many is $1.99 now; Two Bites Too Many will be on sale from April 30-May 31 for $.99 and Three Treats Too Many will be on a Bookbub ad and reduced everywhere to $.99 from May 17-19......all in anticipation of Four Cuts Too Many's official release on May25, 2021. A great time for you or anyone else to pick up the first three books!(less)

Writing From Inspiration and Mood by Bob Rothman

Not long ago, a friend asked whether I had a favorite time of day and location to write. My response was that, to me, writing is much more about inspiration and mood than time or place.

I have written at my desk, at the dining room table, on an airplane, and in hotel rooms, among other places. I have written in the early morning hours and at various times throughout the day, although generally not
