When Pets Bring Comfort from Spirit

When pets bring comfort from Spirit

Pets are pure unconditional love in action, but the only trouble is, they are with us for such a short time. Losing a dog, cat or any other animal companion is, for many people, on a par with losing your best friend. They’re not ‘just a dog,’ they are energy, just as we are, and because energy can never be destroyed, just like us, their spirit lives on in another place. They are still close to us, we just don’t have the comfort of their physical presence.

A few days ago, a friend’s dog succumbed to cancer. I’d seen them out together recently, because despite his condition, this beautiful dog still lived every moment, loving his walks, even though they were challenging for him and his guardians. My friend said she was dreading having to make the decision when to say goodbye, and I had the overwhelming certainty that he would pass peacefully in his sleep, saving her from that particular trauma. This was indeed what happened.

With a pet or a beloved family member or friend, you are never ready for that last goodbye, even when it’s expected. There’s and old saying, ‘Where there’s life there’s hope,’ and we do hope, don’t we? If not for a miracle, at least for more time to enjoy their company, add more to the memory bank and say what we need to while we still can.

When pets bring comfort from Spirit

Paddy

I met my friend yesterday, and she was distraught, because although she is a firm believer in the afterlife, for all living souls, not just people, she wanted a sign that her beautiful boy was safe and happy. Right on cue, I felt his presence, and sensed rather than saw his big grin. In fact everything about him was big – he was a true gentle giant. I also felt the happy swish of his tail, or as owners of big dogs tend to term it, ‘the Weapon of Mass Destruction!’ Even dogs who have had their tails docked will swish them again in Spirit, to show their happiness.

To prove it was indeed him, he suggested I ask his Mum about the carrots, and she said he loved carrots chopped up in his food. Then he mentioned mud, and this really made her laugh. There might not be a great deal of mud here on the Costa Blanca, but back in the UK he was a real Mud Monster. If there was any dirty water or thick mud around, he’d home in on it and roll in it, and he asked me to be sure to tell his Mum that she couldn’t stop him doing it now!

The really funny – and really horrible – moment came when my friend said she even missed the smell of him. Not just the gaseous aromas that big dogs seem to muster at will – I keep an air freshener by the side of the sofa for when Luna farts! -but also the characteristic smell associated with the latter stages of his illness. Right on cue, my nose was assailed with what I can only describe as something incredibly toxic. I’d never smelled anything so bad – and I live with a dog who could win an Olympic Gold with her emissions!

When pets bring comfort from Spirit

Luna

Incredibly, my friend also got the smell at the same time as me, which was great evidence for her that it was indeed her beautiful boy letting her know he was happy and well in Spirit. Thankfully though, it didn’t reach anyone else, as all this took place in a fairly crowded bar! Loved ones in Spirit will often bring in an aroma associated with them, just so you know it’s really them. When my father first started to come through to me, I would smell the Senior Service cigarettes he used to smoke. Even after all these years, I still recognised it. Spirit use smells as a calling card, and apparently so do spirit dogs!

When my own dog Paddy was killed back in 2019, he was back with me the very next day, as I waited for surgery. (As I tried to help him, he was so traumatised he bit my finger badly, something he never would have done under normal circumstances). I woke from a fitful sleep, and as reality kicked in, I started to cry. Next thing, I felt a cold nose nudging my good hand, and the weight of his head as he snuggled up to me to comfort me.

It wasn’t just wishful thinking on my part, because when the nurse came by to check on me, she said, ‘Let me straighten the covers, it looks just like there’s been a dog lying next to you!’ Then a look of horror crossed her face as she remembered why I was there, but I smiled and said, ‘That’s exactly what’s happened. Paddy’s been back to see me!’ She gave me a funny look and beat a hasty retreat, no doubt to tell Sister that maybe I’d been affected more than they initially thought and perhaps the psychologist needed to have a word!

When pets bring comfort from Spirit

A few days later, I went to the local spiritualist church for comfort, and the medium, who didn’t even know what had happened, came across to me and said that he’d been told by Spirit to tell me that everyone who passes feels only joy and peace at the time of transition, whatever the manner of their passing, whether it’s peacefully in sleep, like my friend’s dog, or the sudden and violent end to life that Paddy experienced.

That was a great comfort to me, because I was sure Paddy must have been terrified in those final moments, although I told him how much I loved him as I held him close. I know he heard and felt that love, and that he was at peace. There were more signs from Spirit for me though. Although Paddy himself didn’t come through on that occasion – he’s been to me lots of times since, but that’s for another time – the first three loved ones who came through during the mediumship demonstration were all dogs!

After the service, the medium told me that he rarely had dogs come through, and usually only in private sittings, not demonstrations. I knew at once that Paddy, or one of my human loved ones in Spirit, had found a way to reassure me that he was well and happy in the afterlife, along with all the other treasured pets who’d crossed the Rainbow Bridge. That was – and still is – a great comfort to me. I like to think that Paddy has found Patch the Border Collie, George the Jack Russell Cross, Sooty the Miniature Poodle, Pip the Sealyham Terrier and Flash the German Shepherd, and they’re all together in a pack, enjoying life eternally. Our pets can bring comfort from Spirit, just the same as our other departed loved ones.

Book Review: Discover the Angels by Alison Wynne-Ryder

Discover the Angels

I owe a lot to Alison Wynne-Ryder. She’s the reason I do what I do now, and over the years, she’s become a close friend, as well as my teacher and mentor. Without Alison, The Soul Cave wouldn’t exist, and I wouldn’t be living my dream life as an author, healer, Angel Guide and spiritual coach. So I was absolutely delighted when her second book, Discover the Angels, was recently published.

It’s taken Alison a while to write this one, as life got in the way a bit, but it’s absolutely worth the 12 year wait since her best-selling debut, The Quirky Medium, was published. Alison is a great advocate for the Angels, and in this book, she not only tells us all about these magical beings of light, she skilfully weaves in real life tales of angelic intervention. It’s educational and inspirational in equal measure, and written in such a flowing, conversational style, I devoured it in one sitting.

Discover the AngelsAlison and me in her garden after my first psychic development class, 2016

If you don’t know much about the Angels and how the afterlife works, you certainly will by the time you put this book down. And even if you work with Angels every day, as Alison and myself do, you’ll still find surprises in these pages. I think my favourite bits, though, are when Alison talks about her beloved husband John, and how, since his passing to Spirit two years ago, he’s found ways to comfort and reassure her, just as he promised to. And the support of her beloved Angels when she needed it most has helped her process her grief and live in joy once again.

Alison writes about this movingly, and like all good spiritual writers, she uses her own experiences to help others navigate similar challenges, without attempting to influence your thinking or beliefs. Her own faith in Spirit and the Angels shines through, and if you’re seeking to learn more about the world beyond what we know, Discover the Angels will absolutely help with that. Alison includes lots of tips to deepen your own spiritual connection, and there are some beautiful meditations, designed to help you connect with the Angels whenever you feel the need to.

Discover the AngelsHot off the press!

The Angels are not remote, other-worldly beings to be placed on pedestals and worshipped, although they are certainly awe-inspiring. They can be our friends and confidants, and support us through our challenges, but we have to make the first move and invite them into our lives. Then the magic truly begins, and miracles can happen. Alison demystifies the Angelic Realm, and shows us how we, too, can Discover the Angels. This book is already a trusted friend, and I know I’ll return to it again and again.

Medium in Review: Gareth Lewis

Gareth Lewis

Gareth Lewis is a psychic medium, teacher and author with 30 years experience, based in Bolton, Lancashire. Recently, he travelled to my area of Spain as part of a tour to celebrate the imminent launch of his new book, Spirit, Can You Hear Me?

While he was in Spain, I got chatting to him one evening before a demonstration of mediumship and I felt an immediate connection, which deepened during the demonstration. Gareth is an excellent evidential medium, and his messages are delivered with great comedic timing – so much that I dubbed him ‘The Commedium,’ because watching him work was so entertaining for everyone, not just the people getting messages. It was like a stand up comedy show with Spirit as special guests! Laughter is known to raise vibrational energy to facilitate spiritual connection, and Gareth caused plenty of laughter, while maintaining respect for both Spirit and his audience.

Gareth LewisGareth’s book is published in March

Watching Gareth work was like a breath of fresh air, and I knew I wanted him to read privately for me. I felt I’d reached a crossroads in my own spiritual work, and I was being drawn in a different direction, out of my comfort zone. I was also concerned about my financial situation, and as a result I needed reassurance and confirmation, and I believed Gareth was the right person to bring that through from my loved ones in Spirit.

Having a reading with Gareth was like having my family in Spirit sitting in the room and chatting with us, as his evidence was not only accurate, it went so much deeper in detail than I could have expected. He brought through my mother, my maternal grandfather and a paternal uncle, and he not only described them physically, as well as the manner of their passing, he gave much more information.

My grandfather passed from lung cancer, but Gareth also knew that none of our family was aware of it for some time, as he seemed his normal self until he neared the end of his life. My grandparents decided to keep quiet about it until it was obvious there was something wrong, rather than upset their children and grandchildren. Grandad passed over 60 years ago, and I was just 11 at the time. I honestly don’t think a single living soul connected with me knows the details of his passing, because it’s not something I talk about these days, since none of my children ever knew him and my younger brother hardly remembers Grandad, as he was only 7 when he passed.

Gareth LewisGareth working at the Madhouse, Costa Blanca

All this, and more, was enough to convince me that any messages would be authentic, and brought with love from Spirit. Gareth identified my concerns, and told me that I needed to trust my instincts and go in the direction that Spirit clearly wanted for me.

Basically, I’ve been told in previous readings that I should concentrate more on spreading spiritual information via my writing and teaching in workshops, but I always felt that the time wasn’t right for me to teach others, as I still had so much to learn myself. Lately, I have been writing more and feeling I’m now in a position to help others better understand how Spirit works, but there’s always that concern that it may be ego driving these ideas rather than inner knowing and spiritual advice. The message from Mum was clear though: this is what you’re meant to be doing, so get on with it!

Gareth also knew about my book, The Soul Cave, and said how proud my family were that I’d written it, as it was helping others find their way through trauma. Some cynical people might say that information could have come from talking to others I suppose, but the next message certainly didn’t. I’ve been working on a second book, but it’s not going well, so I’d made up my mind to put it on the back burner and work on something else. The only problem was, I didn’t have a topic to work with – at least, not one that would make for a spiritual book that has something different to say.

Gareth Lewis

Mum’s advice was that my new topic would come to me very soon, and Gareth said he had the impression that she meant more or less immediately. The thing is, time is a human construct, which Spirit don’t recognise, so it’s difficult to pinpoint. I can tell you now that earlier this week, just a couple of weeks or so after my reading, my topic came to me like a bolt out of the blue. Not only that, over the last few days I’ve had so many ideas and heard real life stories that fit in with the theme of the book, I’m constantly jotting down notes on the phone or the laptop.

I’m not ready to say more at the moment, it’s very early days, but I can see the way ahead with my second book now, and I’ll be working on it in earnest from next week. You read it here first! I also received reassurance regarding my financial situation. Again, it’s not something I want to go into detail about, but Gareth knew enough details, which could only have come from my loved ones in Spirit, that I feel much more at peace about the future, and more positive about the things that don’t seem to be going to plan right now.

I would recommend Gareth Lewis to anyone who is facing difficult decisions or needing confirmation that they are making the right choices. His evidence from Spirit is so detailed I just knew I could trust the messages I was receiving, and I’m ready for whatever knew adventures and experiences life – and Spirit – have in store for me.

Healing and Curing: What’s the difference?

Healing or curing

Yesterday, at divine service at our local spiritual centre, the serving medium, John F. Doherty, addressed us about the difference between healing someone and curing them. For him, there is a clear difference, although some people often use the terms interchangeably. Any cure is man made, or facilitated by humans, whereas healing comes from God, or Spirit, or the Universe, however you may se it. I’ve been pondering this ever since, and here are my thoughts.

You see, you can’t always be cured, as most of us can testify through personal experience or from standing by helplessly as their loved ones pass from cancer or other conditions. While there may be cures for things that once would kill you, not everything or everyone can be cured. However, everyone can be healed, because healing is holistic, and isn’t solely dependent on outside influences. In fact, when it comes to healing, even if you’re not a healer yourself, you can still take an active part in your own healing.

Healing or curingDoes she need to be cured or healed? Or both?

You can take a tablet to bring down your blood pressure, or you can prostrate yourself on the operating table to get a faulty bit repaired or removed, but you’re not active in your cure, you’re entrusting your wellbeing to someone else. Whereas if you change your thinking and/or your lifestyle to lessen the stress that drives up your blood pressure, you’re participating in your own healing, even though you might not be curing yourself.

The fact of the matter is anyone can be healed, but not everyone can be cured. I absolutely agree with John that healing comes from outside of us and runs through us, brought to us by a higher power. I’m a healer myself, and I channel healing through Archangel Raphael when I’m guided to do it. Like the world famous healer Matthew Manning, I’ve never received any training in healing. What I do is purely intuitive, and guided by Spirit, but people benefit from it, and that’s all that really matters.

I also receive visualisations from the Angels to use with others so they can manage their own energy and help to heal themselves. One of the visualisations I often use is for Cutting Energetic Cords with Archangel Michael. It was channelled to me during the first Covid lockdown in 2020, and it’s helped lots of people to release what no longer serves them, those things that keep pulling them back to the past and preventing them from enjoying the present moment and moving on with their lives. It helps them accept what they can’t change, and heal from past traumas, so what I’m really saying is healing is about acceptance, and it doesn’t have to be purely physical.

Healing or curingCrystals may be used for healing, especially green crystals like Fluorite

We also heal on emotional and spiritual levels, and we change as we heal. Curing is more about removing what isn’t working, whereas healing depends on working with what you already have to improve things. You can’t learn to live with infection, or a broken limb, for example, because that could be dangerous, so you take the cure, but you can adapt to life after rejection or trauma, and that’s healing in action.

Sometimes, when a cure fails, such as in terminal cancer or chronic heart disease, it’s still possible to heal, because healing is about the whole person, body and soul, while curing is about the bits that are malfunctioning. So there’s never a time when further treatment is not an option with healing. It’s always possible to work with energy, and with healers, to come to acceptance and live well for the remaining time. Healing isn’t a definitive course of treatment or action, it’s an ever changing journey, and it’s open to each and every one of us.

Healing or curingCures tend to be man made

Affirmations: The power of thought and words

the power of words

Recently, at the healing circle I attend, one of the leaders talked to us about building our own mantras – or affirmations – to help manifest what we want in life. I must confess, at one time I thought affirmations were a waste of time, stating the obvious if you like. I mean, we all want better lives don’t we, so it’s a waste of time coming up with stuff and repeating it, because our thoughts are as powerful as our words, so let’s just keep thinking positive and things will get better, right?

Er – actually that’s wrong, as I have since discovered. Manifestation is all about setting intentions and sending them out to the Universe so it knows the direction you’re heading in. As I’ve said before, while the Law of Attraction premise that what you send out is what you get back is fine in principle, there’s one thing you need to know. The Universe can’t distinguish between what we want more of and what we want less of. It just focuses on what we focus on, assuming, reasonably enough, that if we’re giving something all our attention, it must be important to us.

So it follows that we must make sure our thoughts are occupied with what we want in our lives, not what we want to release, and this is where affirmations come in, because they focus our thoughts on what’s important to us. When I was building my affirmation, it was around the time of the Full Moon, which also happened to be a Super Moon and a Blue Moon. It was the perfect time to come up with a powerful affirmation focused on releasing what no longer served me to make room for abundance coming in.

The power of words

Affirmations don’t need to be specific, as can be seen from some of the examples the circle leader mentioned. However, they should be personal to you, so begin with I Am, then add as much or as little as you wish. Here are some examples to get you thinking:

I am loveI am lightI am compassionI am aligned with my higher selfI am one with the Universe

Only you know what’s important to you, and what you need the Universe to know. For me, it was vital to affirm that I was eager to accept what I couldn’t control, release what didn’t serve me and make room for abundance to flow. I didn’t feel the need to be specific, just to let the Universe know that there was space in my heart and my life for abundance, and I was in the right frame of mind, that is positive, high vibrational and grateful, despite a few recent setbacks. In other words, I wanted to demonstrate my faith in the power of positivity, and the certainty that when things go wrong, it’s because they need to change, not because the Universe has it in for me!

Being a writer, a three or four word affirmation is never going to cut it, so this is what I came up with:

I am the Universe, the Universe is me

I accept and release, I am ready to receive

I am aligned with abundance

For me, this is my way of letting the Universe know I am in the best place spiritually for receiving abundance. I also add ‘And so it is’ at the end of any affirmation or prayer, it’s a sort of ‘Amen’ to state my intention, and show that I have faith that it will be heard and actioned. The other important thing is to repeat the affirmation three times, either out loud or in your head, because that adds extra power to the affirmation.

Once you have your affirmation, it’s important to imprint it on your mind and believe in it. I find the best way to do this is to have it written down, then place it somewhere were you’ll see it many times every day. Pin it to the fridge door, frame it and hang it on the phone, or take a photo and use it as a screen saver on your computer or phone. It doesn’t need to be particularly artistic – although if you want to exercise your creative streak, go to town with it. The choice is yours.

I chose to stencil mine onto a canvas panel and sit it on the sideboard, where I can see it from where I sit. I’m no artist, but it’s for me, not for display or sale, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. It is bright and eye catching though.

The power of wordsMy affirmation, with a few words left out to fit it on the panel!

Start the day by repeating your affirmation three times on waking, and again before going to sleep, so it’s your first thought in the morning and your last thought before sleeping. And repeat it again at various times through the day, particularly if you find negative thoughts creeping in. Remember you can send it as a thought or say it out loud, whatever works best for you.

Just one day after creating my affirmation, a difficult situation changed for a friend I was helping, bringing an unexpected solution to some of her issues. Not saying the affirmation did it all by itself, but like I said, once we have faith that things will get better, they usually do. So, what’s your affirmation going to be? Let me know in the comments.

The power of wordsAffirmations are great for manifesting abundance

Expect to Enjoy!

Expect to Enjoy

Today I was doing an online spiritual coaching session and something came up that I thought would be very useful to many of us. We all strive to keep our energetic vibration high and live in the present moment rather than worry about what the future may hold or keep going back to the past. Or at least, that’s the plan, but sometimes life gets in the way and we feel lost and stuck in a routine of overthinking and creating worst case scenarios rather than enjoying what’s unfolding right here, right now.

So how can we fully live in the moment? By savouring every experience, big or small, as it happens. We all look forward to the big events: holidays, weddings, trips out, birthdays, the occasional red letter days that we anticipate and prepare for, sometimes for months or even years ahead. We tend to take the small stuff for granted, it’s just there, part of life, and we don’t give it the credit it deserves. How often do you really enjoy a cup of coffee that hits the right spot, or a gin and tonic that’s mixed just how you like it? And how often do you acknowledge that enjoyment? Hardly ever probably, because it’s a regular part of your day.

Well, here’s the thing. Everything in your day deserves to be enjoyed and appreciated as it happens. Yes, even the small stuff. There’s no better training for living in the moment than taking the time to appreciate everything as it happens. In short, Expect to Enjoy! You don’t need to say or do anything, just send out that appreciation to the Universe, not when you go to bed and you’re practicing gratitude for your day, but as you enjoy your drink, meal, walk in nature, cuddle with your lover, child or pet.

Have you ever been to a restaurant or show with friends, and then later you’re telling others about it and it’s as if you were in different places, because you say how much you enjoyed it, and someone else is saying how disappointed they were. That’s because the other person wasn’t Expecting to Enjoy. They were looking for something to complain about and they found it, just as you Expected to Enjoy and you did. It’s the Law of Attraction at work. If you anticipate a good time, that’s what will happen, but if you expect things to go wrong, they will. So two people at the same event can have very different experiences.

We have a choice here. We can Expect to Enjoy or we can Cue the Complaints. We can live in the moment and be excited for the experience, or we can create a self-fulfilling prophecy where we assume things will go wrong and so they do. It’s all in our energy, and it’s nothing to do with what’s actually happening around us. It’s how we’re approaching it energetically that drives our experience for good or ill.

Using the restaurant example, maybe we had a bad meal or poor service there last time, even if we’d had good experiences previously. We can’t change the bad time, because it’s over and done with, but we can choose to accept that sometimes things don’t go to plan and we can Expect to Enjoy, and we will. It’s all about acceptance, and moving forward.

If you have trouble getting to grips with this, adopt Expect to Enjoy as your affirmation, mantra or whatever you want to call it. Say it out loud or send it into the Universe as a thought three times on waking, and several times during the day, as a reminder that living in and enjoying the present moment is what makes us happy and raises our energetic vibration. Write the words in your journal, or on a large piece of paper that you can put on the fridge or frame so that you see it often. Be creative, turn the words into art, because that will help imprint them in your consciousness, so that Expecting to Enjoy becomes second nature. It’s all about the energy, every time!

The other day, I was with a friend who was feeling the heat and the intensity of the incoming energies at the moment and she was looking decidedly jaded. She asked if I could do anything to help her and I said I’d try, but I honestly had no idea what was going to happen.

I readied myself for channelling healing, but Archangel Raphael – the Healing Angel – had other ideas! As I stood with my hands on my friend’s shoulders, waiting for instructions, I realised this was going to be a visualisation, and I was in the privileged position of feeling the difference in my friend’s energy for myself.

As the visualisation progressed, I felt her energy first of all lift, and then expand way beyond her body and her immediate aura. The shift was so strong it also gave me a much-needed boost of energy, so I’m reproducing it here, so you too can enjoy the benefits.

Celebration energising visualisation from Archangel Raphael

Relax in a comfortable chair. It’s best to be sitting up rather than lying down for this powerful, energising visualisation, otherwise you could become disoriented.Take a few calming breaths and imagine that your head and body is just an empty shell, waiting for something to happen. Now visualise a giant cava bottle in that empty space. The cork pops, and the bubbles gush out and fill your head and torso. Feel the celebration begin, and feel the boost to your energy. No celebration is complete without fireworks, so now, as the cava bubbles die down, see the fireworks igniting within, making a fabulous display and pushing that energy outside your body into your aura. Enjoy the colours and movement for a while. Now we’re going to pour cold water on everything, because you can’t sustain energy at that level for too long! See yourself sat on a rock, under a beautiful waterfall. Feel the cooling waters cascading over your skin, calming and refreshing at the same time, at just the right temperature for the moment. It’s time to returnto the present moment. You feel energised and motivated, ready to get on with your day. Thank Archangel Raphael for his help and take a drink of water to ground yourself.

Use this visualisation whenever you feel your energy flagging, for whatever reason. Maybe you’ve had an emotionally exhausting day, or the heat of the summer is getting to you. This is a good visualisation to kick start your day after a restless night, but don’t do it too late in the day, or it could disturb your sleep. Let me know how you get on with it. Love and blessings.

Why I no longer do Angel Card readings at fairs and markets

Difference between Tarot, Angel and Oracle cards

I first started doing Angel Card readings at fairs, markets and charity events, before I even considered selling crystals and other spiritual items. I loved the challenge of meeting a total stranger, sitting down with them for 15 minutes or so – often ‘or so,’ as Spirit don’t work on a timer either! – and bringing comfort, guidance and clarity into their lives. It’s very rewarding to see someone visibly relax and feel lighter as Spirit channel the messages they need, in a small oasis of tranquility in a busy, noisy bar or hotel.

Angel card readingsI no longer do readings at events like this, but I’ll bring three beautiful Angel Card decks to your home for you to choose from for your private reading

However, a few months ago, all that changed. I went down with a nasty chest infection, and for several weeks I couldn’t work at all. When I was able to go back to the markets, my energy just wasn’t up to doing readings, so I asked friends to fill in for me until I was fully recovered, and I concentrated on giving advice about crystals and talking about energy work and my book, The Soul Cave: It’s Never Too Late to Find Your Power.

Angel card readings My book is available, signed by me, from various events on the Costa Blanca and online or from bookshops around the world

As my recovery continued, I began to feel that maybe there was a reason I wasn’t doing readings at events, although by now I was able to do private readings in clients’ homes. It’s a different dynamic at events though. In the space of three or four hours, up to 10 different people can sit down at the table, and each time you need to connect with their energy and with Spirit to access what they need to know. It’s rewarding, but energetically it’s very taxing. With a private reading, you’re connecting with one person in a calm environment for around an hour, whereas at events, the focus of your energy changes three or four times in the space of an hour, and you also need to shut out the sounds around you.

I decided to ask Spirit if I needed to stop giving readings at events and concentrate on giving advice on crystals and other aspects of working with energy, and the answer was an unequivocal Yes! Financially, that means taking a bit of a hit, as obviously there are no expenses with readings, but for me, working with Spirit isn’t about the money. Yes, I have to make a living, but my purpose is to serve Spirit in whatever way is most beneficial to the people I work with and the Universe in general. If I am called to concentrate on spreading information in public, and keeping the readings private, this is what I must do.

Angel card readings Taking advice from Spirit and my own intuition, I now concentrate on passing on my experience of working with crystals and energy at local events.

I’m telling you this because some people are finding it hard to accept that I am no longer reading at events. Maybe they think it’s just me being awkward, but everything I do is guided by my own intuition and messages from Spirit, and I don’t feel I can go against that if I wish to continue working psychically.

While I’m no longer doing casual readings, I will do everything I can to make sure my clients get the guidance they need. Just a few days ago, I had four people ask for readings. When they said that two of them were flying back to the UK the next day, I agreed to go to their accommodation and read for them the following morning, even though I had a market to attend in the afternoon.

I will always fit in a reading as soon as my schedule allows, because I know that nobody ‘just fancies’ an Angel Card reading. They are drawn to it at a particular time because they need spiritual advice or encouragement, and my purpose is to deliver that. Rest assured that if you come to me and need some advice urgently, Spirit will know and they’ll send you a message there and then, to keep you going until we can arrange a reading for you!

The cost of a private reading in your own home is hardly any more expensive than a casual reading at an event. Check out my prices here and contact me if you’d like a reading at a time to suit your schedule in the privacy and comfort of your own home. And if you can’t get to my events to browse my crystals or ask for advice on any aspect or working with energy, drop me a message and I’ll bring a selection to you with no obligation to buy. Love and blessings.

May 1, 2024

I made it in Psychic News!

It's May 1, and it's a very special day for me. It's exactly a year since my first book, The Soul Cave was published. As if in celebration, the world's oldest and best known spiritual magazine, Psychic News has today published an article based on extracts from the book.

It's very difficult to get into this prestigious magazine, but my publisher at Local Legend, Nigel Peace, has a good working relationship with the editor, and regularly manages to get slots for his authors. I am so blessed to have found him. He's supportive, encouraging and motivating, without beating me with a big stick!

The hardest thing about publishing a new book, especially for a first time author, is not the writing and reviewing, it's the post publication marketing to get your name out there. I'm hoping this article will help me do that.

Here's the advert for the magazine. I'm on Page 38.
