Writer/Director/Author Richard is an award winning filmmaker, who has written and/or directed 8 theatrical features, and a number of documentaries. His first book, "Flipside: A Tourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife" went to #1 twice at Amazon in all its genres. The book is based on transcripts of a documentary he made which is available at Amazon (Flipside: A Journey Into the Afterlife) and Gaiam TV. His latest book is "It's a Wonderful Afterlife" volumes one and two where he expands the research into the afterlife from Michael Newton's work, to include interviews with a number of scientists in the field of consciousness, including Dr. Bruce Greyson, Dr. Mario Beauregard, and Gary Schwartz Phd. "Irreducible Mind" is for academics, (the size and prize tag would give anyone pause), so I highly recommend reading his scientific papers (most are free and published online) and search his public talk "Is Consciousness Created by the Brain?" on youtube. Also in the science vein, read "The Aware Project" findings that have just been published by Dr. Sam Parnia and his group. These are scientific papers, but gives excellent groundwork in a post materialist way to arrive at the next arena. First NDE book I recommend is David Bennett's "Voyage of Purpose." (I also interviewed him, and that is available on youtube. It's an hour long, but worth watching.) David was studied by Dr. Greyson, and also has had the benefit of having a between life session where he examined these events in more detail. For comparative accounts, I recommend "Proof of Heaven" by Dr. Eben Alexander, and "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. Some are put off by one being from a Harvard neurosurgeon and the other from a five year old - but both accounts have much to offer by way of getting a glimpse of the "afterlife" for lack of a better term. Both had profound experiences, and one is not better, or more credible than the other - they're just different. Then there's a great ebook by Jeremy Kagan, "The Near Death and Life of Jeremy Kagan" - someone I know, and who was not familiar with other NDE accounts. His experience was also different than the others, with some of the same hallmarks. Other books I recommend; two are by authors who are no longer on the planet: Annie Kagan's "Afterlife of Billy Fingers" and Galen Stoller's "My Life After Life." Both are written (via relatives of the deceased) from the pov of someone who is experiencing the afterlife, or this other realm. Both of these accounts dovetail with the research I've done in the area. What I've found in the research is that while some NDE accounts are similar, no two are exactly the same, just like our own journeys through life. Two other NDE's I'm aware of but have not read their personal accounts; Dr. Rajiv Parti (whom I interviewed) and Anita Moorjani. Both had profound experiences and worth reading about. I know that both Dr. Moody and Kenneth Ring's research is excellent - I'm just not as familiar with them as the above, but I do cite a Kenneth Ring story in "Flipside." Their work is cited often in many of the other books of the genre. Also check into the nearest IANDS.org chapter - it's a wonderful place to go and hear personal accounts - created by Dr. Greyson and others, and the groups share their profound experiences in a private (and sometimes public) setting. Fascinating topic.(less)

I spoke to two friends who are "known" for their "remote viewing" and one said it was on land, the other said under the sea. It's interesting, as in the interviews i've done with mediums I get a pretty good sense that they're absolutely sure about what their saying. I focus my research on talking to eyewitnesses to events - that would be people who've experienced a near death experience, a person under deep hypnosis, or even speaking to a friend on the flipside through a medium that I trust. I can tell you some pretty amazing answers have come through - verifiable ones. But I haven't focused on this particular event in my questioning. I'm still busy trying to get people to be interested in what really happened to Amelia after she disappeared - and that's hard enough! But thanks for asking sorry it too me so long to reply.(less)
