I finished reading "Confederacy of Dunces" the other day. It's a bit long. I think the author could have trimmed some of the story. The best parts of the book are when the principal character, a self-centered hot dog vendor in New Orleans, verbally abuses the people around him. This book has its share of comedy with its colorful cast of characters in New Orleans.
