Gary was born and bred in East Belfast and was only 17 when the troubles began in Northern Ireland. His friends and he navigated their way throughout those days, determined to never get involved in any politics or violence of any kind.
Although like most people in Northern Ireland they knew families whose lives were devastated and dramatically changed forever by the callus activities of the paramilitaries and the actions or inactions of politicians on all sides.
Gary had always a vivid imagination and a story started to form in his head based around the troubles.
Eventually, when time allowed he decided to write all those thoughts down, resulting in Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold.
