Evelyn Deloryce Dunlop is a native of New York City, born and raised in Southeast Queens. She came to faith in Christ as a teenager, and became an active member of the Bethel Gospel Tabernacle in Jamaica, New York. It was under the leadership of the church’s then pastor, Bishop Roderick R. Caesar, Sr. that she received her love for the systematic study of Scripture. She relocated to Costa Mesa, California in 1995 to attend Vanguard University of Southern California (formerly Southern California College), where she pursued both bachelors and master’s degrees in Biblical Studies.
