Massimo Burioni è nato a Balze di Verghereto (Forlì-Cesena). Agronomo di formazione, tra il 1984 e il 1996 ha vissuto in vari paesi africani, lavorando in progetti di sviluppo rurale nell’ambito della Cooperazione allo sviluppo, inizialmente come volontario e in seguito come cooperante. Sposato, con una figlia, dal 1997 al 2019 ha vissuto in Belgio. Dal 2019 risiede di nuovo nel suo luogo di nascita.
Ha collaborato con le riviste letterarie Progetto Babele e Historica-Il Foglio letterario. Ha pubblicato la raccolta di racconti "Otto più uno" (Editrice Carabba, 2010; CreateSpace, 2014) e i romanzi "La ventitreesima primavera" (Giraldi editore, 2007; CreateSpace, 2014) e "L'integrità" (CreateSpace, 2015); "Ora di dormire" (CreateSpace, 2017); ...more
