ABOUT ME:
Writer, illustrator, known for my books Retrograde and Holy Hell.
Lifelong scribbler and bibliophile.
Music lover.
Geek and day-dreamer. Also, a hopeful cynic from some accounts.

MOST EASILY DISTRACTED BY: Shiny new books, toys and ideas...

GREATEST REGRET: Once discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down...

“Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, and I’m going to be happy in it.” (- Groucho Marx)

Trust me it's happened.
Mostly I just try and write even during blocked periods, even if it's a random blog post or a comic review or chatting on online forums and blabbing long - anything to keep the words flowing because it helps.(less)

The Travelling Cat Chronicles (Doubleday Publishing, 2017)

The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa, (Philip Gabriel, Translator) My rating: 4.8 of 5 Ω’s Is it earth-shattering? No. Does it change the literary landscape? No. Is it deep and powerful and life-changing? Maybe not for everyone I suppose. But it has been an experience. It’s slow, gentle, sweet and filled with humour that almost... Billed as "The most visceral issues in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN history begin here!", I think that's a bit exaggerated. I mean it is a solidly action-focussed and intense issue, but the most visceral? Not even close.
This is 100% an art-forward issue. Do n

Decent to solid artwork and nice rendering of a vibe that suits the Predator as a franchise/concept and this is the high-point of the comic especially in the more action-y scenes.
