“My existence is colorless when I’m not imagining you. You haunt me, Annabelle. ”
April Brookshire, Young Love Murder

“I want you back, Annabelle.” This time my laughter is full of nothing but genuine humor. It’s that ‘oh my god, I can’t believe that’ kind of humor. I lean forward and put my face in my palms, still laughing. “Holy crap,” I say in-between laughs, “that’s hilarious.” I peek up at him to see his disgruntled expression and then bust up laughing again.  “I’m serious,” he grunts out, looking cute in his exasperation, damn him. Not done, I hold up a hand. “Oh, oh, wait. Just let me go get my gun so you can shoot me again. Of course I want to get back together with you, Gabriel.” Putting on a serious face, I say earnestly, “He shoots me because he loves me.”
April Brookshire, Young Love Murder

“That’s it. That is fucking it. I stand up, grab Anna by the waist and, while dragging her to the bedroom, say over my shoulder to Brent, “If you can answer the door when her brother gets here, we’d appreciate it. Don’t bother us for the next hour, two if Anna’s as insatiable as usual. You may want to turn on the television to drown out the noise!” I push a laughing Anna into the bedroom and slam the door behind us.  ”
April Brookshire, Young Love Murder

“A complete stranger has the capacity to alter the life of another irrevocably. This domino effect has the capacity to change the course of an entire world. J.D. Stroube, Caged by Damnation

“My love is pizza shaped. Won’t you have a slice? It’s circular, so there’s enough to go around.

Jarod Kintz, How to construct a coffin with six karate chops

“You tell me you love me, but I’m not sure you know what love is, or how fast it flies, or how much it resembles a UFO, or what kind of weapon you’d use to shoot it down.”

April Brookshire Hi,

Hi Lucy,

After Toxic Bad Boy comes out at the end of this month, I'm done with that series and will concentrate on other books. My order of priority is:

1. Young Assassins 2
2. Untitled MC Romance
3. Dead Chaos 3

I'll be working on Jackson's book at the same time as the MC Romance (to be co-written with another author) at the same time, so I can't say which one will be published first. I'm hoping to have both out in May/June.

I might put a progress bar on my website so fans can keep track of where I'm at with the book.

Have you read any of my other books? If not, give me your email and I'll send you ebook copies.

Thanks!
April

Lucy Hi April! I absolutely loved Young Love Murder, it was one of my favourite books I read last year. I was just wondering if there's any news about Young Assassins #2?

message 22: by April

April Brookshire The Judas Kiss was twisted, like a vintage version of the book Consequences, if you've read it. The heroine is determined to make the hero pay, and she does it.

Hand In Glove is whacky, crazy and weird. One of the most unique books I've read, but Anne Stuart always has crazy plots.

Yeah! I think the old Harlequins are the best! They don't write like this anymore. It's almost fancy, as you say so, easy reads.
Now you let me curious! I'll see those two books, and will starts, of course, with a good story about revenge! Yummi! Any angst, steamy factors?

message 20: by April

April Brookshire Oh yes, I actually like the older ones than I do the new Harlequins. My favorite 2 of those old books are The Judas Kiss and Hand in Glove. The Judas Kiss especially. And there's definitely a formula to them. Sometimes it's weird, because some of them are older than I am, but they can be entertaining, easy reads.

Jucilene I did notice you use to read very old novels. I mean the classics pocket books sold in newsstands (at least, it's that so in my country, over all Harlequin books). They're very particular don't you think? Very different from the nowadays romances. Even oldfashioned, most of time with silly dumb heroines and rude heros without manners or merely cold. Despite the whole passionete moments of lust... and then (insta-) love... and marriage... and kids (before, after or in the middle of the story). Still, I'm always looking for them. lol How it's for you?

Yeah, I don't even bother with facebook because I don't want to chat about people's kids, jobs, vacations, etc.

I'll just stick to goodreads where people are talking about what I'm interested in.
