At the ripe old age of five, my family moved to the beautiful island of Oahu. It was during my time there, while living on the Delmonte pineapple plantation, that I really fell in love with crafting stories. Isolation is a great parent of imagination.

At thirteen, my family moved back to the states, to the state of Arizona. My love for reading and writing was facilitated by those social outcasts that I called friends. We'd ride our bikes on an hour ride to the local comic book shop or down to the library. I remember my parents taking me to the bookstore any chance I could convince them to. I also enjoy the psychological and sociological parts of writing. To place yourself in so many mindsets and really understand what it might be for someone to go through an experience, to delve into how that would change you or how you might react, is brain candy.(less)
