Excellent research by this author. I wound up skimming the book because I got too upset at the content – basically, a real-life killer got away with it. But at least the innocent man was proven innocent (although it took years). Shockingly bad police ...more

I read sections of this book, not the whole book. The writer is very knowledgeable about music. And the Herrmann/Hitchcock dynamic is interesting. There's a detailed explanation of Herrmann's score for "Psycho," which is why I wanted to read the book ...more
