The Curious Practitioner's Guide to the Impossible: A Sneak Peek at My Next Book
Exciting news—I’m thrilled to share what my next book will be! Not only is the outline for this one complete, but I’ve also mapped out the outlines for two sequels. And, because I apparently don’t know how to slow down, I’ve also drafted outlines for two standalone novels set in the same universe. (Yes, I know - I might have a problem, lol.)
When it comes to editing, I have a bit of a unique process. I don’t work with an editor at this stage, so I rely on ElevenLabs AI (a voice AI that reads with emotion) to help me out. It reads the book to me, one paragraph at a time, over and over while I make manual corrections. By the time I’m done with this step, I usually hate what I’ve written (it’s a process). But once it sounds right, I know I’m on the right track.
That said, “done” doesn’t mean done-done. I often revisit and tweak things as I progress through the story. Let’s call it 90% finished—enough that it’s listenable!
Since I’m feeling really good about how this book is coming together, I wanted to share something special with you all. So far, the prologue and chapters 1 and 2 are ready to go.
