Isabelle Knight is the middle-grade fantasy author of the Enchantria series, which she began writing at age ten and published sometime later in her life. A lifelong book and cat lover, she now resides in a book-filled apartment surrounded by countless stuffed pandas and enough books to start her own bookstore. When she's not writing about creepy shadows, daring heroines, and magical adventures, she's talking about books, writing, and doing writerly ramblings on her blog and YouTube channel.

PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to contact Isabelle, the only way is through her author website. She does NOT use any form of social media, nor is she the same Isabelle Knight from Build Your Author Brand.

I always just loved the concept of impossible things that could happen in those stories, and I was thoroughly obsessed with Harry Potter and Narnia for a good few years! So I'm not really sure when it started -- it's just always been something that I'd had a love for! And so, of course, it is something that I love writing and something I hope will be in all my stories.(less)

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
“My child, the troubles and temptations of your life are beginning, and may be many; but you can overcome and outlive them all if you learn to feel the strength and tenderness of your Heavenly Father as you do that of your earthly one. The more you love and trust Him, the nearer you will feel to Him, and the less you will depend on human power and wisdom. His love and care never tire or change, can never be taken from you, but may become the source of lifelong peace, happiness, and strength. Believe this heartily, and go to God with all your little cares, and hopes, and sins, and sorrows, as freely and confidingly as you come to your mother.”

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
“She preferred imaginary heroes to real ones, because when tired of them, the former could be shut up in the tin kitchen till called for, and the latter were less manageable.”

“Maybe she didn’t need to be a hero. Maybe she didn’t need amazing powers.
Maybe all she needed to do was try.
After all, wasn’t that the only thing she’d been doing these past few days?”
Isabelle Knight, Enchantria: The Last Hope

“What is your name?
What would you sacrifice to succeed?
Who are you, if not a hero?”
Isabelle Knight, Enchantria: The Last Hope

“I suppose they could be balls of gas. Or
they could be something entirely. No one really knows. And even if
they are, that’s what they’re made of. Not what they truly are. Enchantrians believe each star is a spirit. Wherever you are, the
stars will go with you. They’ll light your way. That’s the way of Enchantria. Whenever we don’t know what to do, we remember that
the stars are always with us. We are never alone.”
Isabelle Knight, Enchantria: Sun and Flame

“Open the door to what
if forbidden, open the door to dangerous wisdom.”
Isabelle Knight, Enchantria: Guardian's Heir

“Books, I think, are what magic smells like.”
Millie Florence, Honey Butter

“No one who loves the woods stays on the path,”
Millie Florence, Lydia Green Of Mulberry Glen

“She had met people who had tried to fit in. She had met people who tried to stand out. But until then she had never met anyone who simply tried to be themselves without expecting anything from those around
them. It was a refreshing experience.”
Millie Florence, Honey Butter
