Anika Beer ist ein Herbstkind des Jahres 1983 und wuchs in der Bergstadt Oerlinghausen am Teutoburger Wald auf. Das Schreiben und Lesen fantastischer Geschichten begleitet sie seit frühester Kindheit. Außerdem interessiert und begeistert sie sich für Kampfkunst, fremde Kulturen und Naturschutz. Nach dem Abitur lebte sie einige Zeit in Spanien, bevor sie in Bielefeld ein Biologiestudium begann. Nach Abschluss der Bachelorarbeit nahm sie eine Teilzeitstelle an der Universität an, bis sie sich im Juli 2010 als Schriftstellerin selbstständig machte. Bis heute lebt und schreibt sie in Bielefeld.
