The Book that Had an Identity CrisisI’m an erotic romance author. I write stories about people who are attracted to one another, have issues, and work out/overcome/resolve their issues through carnal relations. I’m not an urban fantasy author…or, I wasn’t, until a paranormal erotic romance novella had an identity crisis, threw a tantrum, and stormed off to slam doors and become the first in a gothic urban fantasy series.I wanted to write about sexy vampire fangs and passion-drugged blood drin...

Why Shifters?
Hm, I wish I had an easy answer for this, but I don’t. There’s so much to enjoy about shifters. They’re human with the same problems you and I face, except they have the added bonus of dealing with their animal half.
Think about it. Humans have emotions and morals that get in the way of a lot of things. Animals don’t. They live to survive and reproduce. If you add that element to a person’s personality, you have conflict. For instance, the animal’s instincts to protect, conquer te...

Interview with Eiko La Boria

I traveled a bit through the film festival circuit one year and met many different faces, races, and voices. A lot of it was scary, because it very much was like an underbelly of this anything-goes mentalit...

Guest Post by Ron Gavalik

Emotobooks: The Fusion of Written Fiction and Expressionistic ArtRon Gavalik
Thank you to Nanny Berry for allowing me to guest post.
As a writer and publisher, it’s always been a goal to bridge the gap between the cerebral gratifications of well-plotted fiction writing and the visual stimulation of illustrative art. The one day I had a mini-epiphany. Insert expressive, emotionally representative imagery in written stories, during moments of emotional consequence. By delivering a visual of...

Seriously now…
Once I wrote an Erotica short story, that came close to inducing convulsions in one member of a critiquing group. Since she’s known for her professional editorial skills, I thought she might be able to whip my grammar and punctuation into shape, enough to make it submittable.

According to her, the grammar was the least of my worries. The near-convulsions were over a sex scene that ended with the male protagonist cleaning himself with the bed sheets.“No! No! No! No!” read her note...
