Sketchy and Sassy

In 2014 I was the silent type.
In 2015 I want to be less silent.
What better way to start than to introduce an old friend with new ideas.
Today is Sketchy Chic's LAUNCH DAY! The talented Rose Cooper uses her talents to talk about WINE and BACON the two necessary things in our vocabulary.
These Chic's beg the question, do you belong in BA or AA? Where do I belong? In both... Definitely both.
Check out these pieces and decide for yourself!
Facebook here we come: https://www.facebook.com/TheRoseCooper
Unedited Acronymns:BA: Bacon (is) AwesomeAA: Alcohol (is) Awesome

In 2015 you'll be seeing me around more... I guarantee it.

Reviewers Wanted!

My latest work is a collaboration with thirty-six other amazing moms. We have put together our stories to shed light on the fact that no two moms stories are the same. What's so amazing about this project is that 20% of book proceeds will be going to an organization and that helps crisis pregnancies.

If you'd like to review the book, blog about it, share the giveaway, or join us for the facebook event we'd be eternally grateful!!!! Please - push the word out and email me @ jenniferdaiker(at)gmail(dot)com. Together we can push for this amazing cause!

Craplandia - I know you've missed me... at least I hope someone is still reading

So Unedited has been empty for sometime.

Though I love this space and cherished all whom I've met, the recent visitors (both old and new) prefer to read about writing. Though I adore talking about writing I don't want it to define me on the blogs.

I have learned and taught a lot about writing and grow more each and every day.

For those who would still like to witness the weird I've started a blog on Wordpress expressing just that - All of me.

I'd love for you to stop by Craplandia to say hello.

Don't feel pressured to visit, stay, or even grab a cup of tea to go. There is no pressure, I just want everyone to know that though I will still leave this blog open it won't be a constant part of me.

Writing is still alive, my words still need to be heard, at this moment Unedited just isn't calling my name to share advice with you.

Let the struggle continue for all of us and I look forward to celebrating the triumphs everyone reaches.

So hop on over to Craplandia if you wish.

Moving On

I've been distant from the blogosphere but it doesn't mean I'm not thinking about it. Not wondering how my peeps are doing and the wonderful things they're accomplishing. Some things just come in our lives that are bigger and need to be handled first. I hate when that happens.

This morning is one of those moments and I feel the best way to handle it is, well, to right about the situation.

Friends come and go. I've had several throughout my life and each one has blessed me in some unique way to where they're always memorable and have a place in my heart. I've always been a huge believer in that you have several friends that come and go and you have few who stay forever. This past week I lost what I thought to be a forever friend.

The argument, or lack of an argument has me dumbfounded when I was given the news by this person. I had apologized for the behavior, agreeing that I may have been slightly out of line but no more than usual. I took their feelings into account and they chose, in the end, to not accept my apology and decline being friends from that moment on.

We've never fought like this. What's sad, is I don't even think it's a fight. I don't understand what made this said person change their mind about me entirely. I've been the same way for five years. Why now would I be considered anything different? My personality was something they'd always love and in two seconds it worked against me.

I write this as just a way to let go of the emotions I'm harboring. I am saddened that they no longer want to continue what I thought would have been a blossoming friendship, but also know they need to decide what's best for them and at the moment I am not it.

Moving on is hard. Especially when the feelings sit so fresh in our hearts. This will be a person I hope can feel they are able to come back and be friends again.

Dangerous Warriors - Task #2

Thank you for all who entered the first task!!! I will be showing off some of them later this week but without further ado - your next task!!!!!

The Breakfast Dilemma!

The only rules… to fill in blanks USING ONLY BREAKFAST FOODS. Be creative and send it to me in an email so I can be the first to laugh and the first to share!
There were three reasons right off the bat why I should go through with this ridiculous _______________ idea. The first, you can’t hide a _______________  in your house. Second, it is in the 101 Create a _______________ Handbook that the being will end up gaining a _______________ and decide they like the most popular person in _______________ School, leaving you once again alone in a friendless _______________ endeavor. And third, I’d be programming someone to be a _______________. Super pathetic. On the other hand this is a _______________ project and I would get an A in _______________ class no questions asked. It was settled. I would create a cute _______________. _______________would become my friend and I would no longer be without a _______________.
I grabbed my lab coat, slipped my arms through the arm holes and placed _______________ glasses on my nose and slid them back to cover my baby blues. A box of x-small gloves sat next to the _______________. I took two and slipped the blue gloves over my bare hands.
My _______________ was a birthday gift. My grandmother gave it to me. I guess it was sort of a _______________ sort of gift.
I walked to the door and saw her in the _______________. I pressed the blue _______________ button and watched my grandma walk to the _______________.

If you’re extra creative and feeling it, draw, print and paste, or go have breakfast and take the place mats and cut-out the best parts for paste-y goodness!!! Just be crazy about all breakfast items that inspired you!

World Better Prepare

Today I decided to take the twist of one very popular song and put it to what my current mood was... Waiting for the perfect agent to arrive on my doorstep. So watch out world, the world better prepare for this....

I want to be agented so freakin bad.
Show off all thing I’ve always had.
I want my character to be on the cover of her own book
Smiling next to the forest and her best friend
Oh every time I close my eyes.
I see my name in big bold letters, yea.
A different book store every night oh I, I swear.
The world better prepare for when I’m agented.
Yeah I would have a launch party
I would be the host and pass out cupcakes
Give some lucky person a signed gift
I’d probably pull a Lauren Oliver
And adopt the practice of sitting cross-legged on the table
Give away a few boa’s like Lissi Harrison
And last, but no least, tell my readers to keep being inspired.
You can call me a Book Goddess minus the flashy sparkles
Hehe, get it, I’d probably stick with wearing bright colored pants
Yeah, sure do a lot more than wear my clubbing outfits
Yea, can’t forget about me peepettes
Everywhere I go Ima have my own theme music.
Oh every time I close my eyes
I see my name in big bold letters.
Yeah-eh
A different book store every night oh I, I swear.
The world better prepare for when I’m agented.
And published.
Note: No one was harmed in the making of this remix. Thank you Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars for making this an overly addicting song and allowing me to add my own twist.
