Although I was born in the great white north, in 1958, I grew up in the south, five minutes away from the USA border, in White Rock, BC.

I had tremendous fun on the beach and in the ocean. Not so much fun climbing up the hill to school every day. I vowed that when I grew up, I would live somewhere flat. So here I am in Ottawa, Ontario.

My other interests are window shopping, genealogy and walking, swimming and some very amateur dancing in the kitchen.

Interesting This book is a mindblower. I learned so much about medieval thought on the Bible. This book proves that much about the past is worthy of preserving and using in the present.

Scary History This man was a demon with little to disguise him. He murdered and terrorized millions of his people. Long overdue book about one of the worst tyrants the world has produced.

Good Story Nice well written tale of a very tragic event, showing how individuals were resilient after the disaster. Characters one can care about.

Nice A good little story with some excitement. It took me a while to connect with Gemma. But Suling was an interesting character. The backdrop of the earthquake makes for a delicious semi climax.
