Although I was born in the great white north, in 1958, I grew up in the south, five minutes away from the USA border, in White Rock, BC.

I had tremendous fun on the beach and in the ocean. Not so much fun climbing up the hill to school every day. I vowed that when I grew up, I would live somewhere flat. So here I am in Ottawa, Ontario.

My other interests are window shopping, genealogy and walking, swimming and some very amateur dancing in the kitchen.

Boy's Own

A lot of my characters are young boys. In The Mountain City Bronzes, Kevin and his father tell their stories as children. In Beggar Charlie, Charlie tells of him and two other boys trying to find their way home. The story I'm working on presently is titled, The Last Words Of Edward Broome. In it, Albert tells his story. None of these boys are over fourteen. Yes, I'll answer the question befor Read more of this blog post »

Great Story

This book was engrossing despite all the POV changes. A real tragedy and triumph at the same time. It made me sad at all the lives wasted in institutions.

Fantastic

As true crime, it doesn't get any better than this. Tom was a dispicable man relieving gullible women of their money...And then he went too far. I was glad when they put him in jail.

Great History

This book is funny and a bit silly, with all sorts of little asides to make you laugh. I was impressed with how well she incorporated medieval though into the text.

Sorta

Badly organized but very interesting anecdotes about people in 18th century London. There are many mistakes in typesetting and reader must be patient with spelling mistakes but the stories are wonderful.

Nice History Lesson

I read it as a history of what once was. The isolation of these Christian groups gives a good idea of what believers went through back then for their beliefs.

Great Read

This easy to read memoir causes one to think-what if it was me? Suppose if been that vulnerable. Maybe someday it will be easy for victims. This book shows the way.

Gorgeous illustrations meld with not so serious storytelling make a fun and light hearted romp through a library with an alpaca calling the misguided shots. Great read for the little ones.

Interesting

This book is a mindblower. I learned so much about medieval thought on the Bible. This book proves that much about the past is worthy of preserving and using in the present.
