Martin Parece rated a book it was amazing Sanctuary Manor: Book 1 by Stephanie Carlson (Goodreads Author)	Error rating book. Refresh and try again. Rate this book Clear rating 1 of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars
Fantastic debut from a new indie author. The writing and characters were engaging. There was a lot going on, and for a moment, I was concerned there may be too many subplots. However, Carlson pulled it all together wonderfully, while leaving room to ...more

Martin Parece rated a book it was amazing Peacekeeper by Melinda Brown (Goodreads Author)	Error rating book. Refresh and try again. Rate this book Clear rating 1 of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars
Peacekeeper is a fantastic page turner action sci-fi that reminds of the books I read when I was young. Some definite classic sci-fi elements mixed with the military sci-fi of David Drake or Ringo. Wonderful debut novel from an indie author. Stop rea ...more

Martin Parece liked Rachel Horsey's review of The Oathbreaker's Legacy: The Dragonknight Trilogy Book 2 (The Dragonknights of Nahrea): "There are many series where I love the first book but then the next one feels sort of blah. This is NOT that. The storyline continues strong and I’m so excited to read book 3 when it’s released. "

Martin Parece liked Zane's review of Bound by Flame: The Chronicle of Thyss: "Some heroes are chosen. Some are trained. And some are burned into legend. Bound by Flame doesn’t just tell a story it reads like a war chronicle carved into stone and ash. From the first chapter, you’re thrown into a kingdom on the brink of collapse, wh" Read more of this review »

Martin Parece liked Jessie's review of Whispers of the Sower: "Recieved a free ARC in return for my honest review. Ready for a Sci-fi Horror Era, I think. Horror is not generally my genre but I like the Science Fiction combo with it. Parece is VERY descriptive with the yucky parts, had me covering my face even t" Read more of this review »

I read this in two days around my day job. I could not put it down. This has all the gravity and best elements of modern horror mixed with classic gothic. Banish the Dead caps off a series that I consumed as willingly as the women of the Whispering H ...more
