Why you keep thinking about your ex (and how to finally let go)?

because your brain hasn’t caught up with reality. 👇🏻

You keep thinking about your ex because your brain hasn’t caught up with reality.
- It still believes they’re your safe place—even if they weren’t.

Breakups aren’t just heartbreak.

They’re identity crisis.
- You lost the version of you that existed with them.
- That’s what you’re grieving—it’s the routine, the comfort, the version of yourself you were with them.

It's not always love you miss.

You stalk their profile not to see them happy or sad…
- You’re looking for proof they miss you too.
- Your mind is trying to make sense of what broke or something that doesn't even exist.

You replay the fights, the last hug, the silence after.
- Not because you're stuck, but because that pain made you feel something.
- It gave your confusion a name.

Letting go isn’t about deleting photos or blocking them.
- It’s when you stop needing answers from someone who didn’t give you peace.
- You finally let go when you stop asking, “What if?” and start saying, “Even if.”
- It’s about choosing you—the person you're becoming without them.

It’s when you finally say:
“I miss them, but I miss me more.” :)
- Even if it hurts, even if you still care—you’ll be okay.

And that quiet okay-ness? That’s freedom.
