Steve, I had the same experience when writing [book:Death by Haggis|17251009. I'd sit there wondering what was going to happen with a particular character and suddenly get an insight. My reaction was often, "Wow. I didn't know that was going to happen."
Thank you for your kind words about my book, The Universe Builders: Bernie and the Putty. I really appreciate them. The book was a hoot to write. In some parts it just seemed to write itself.
