Exile is coming...
I realize I've been very bad about keeping up with my Goodreads posts, but I am very excited about an upcoming announcement and I wanted to share a few details.
I have a publication date for Exile, which I'll be sharing with my newsletter this month (Jan. 28). If you'd like to keep apprised of what I have going on, the newsletter is hands-down, the best place to do so.
I'll try to remember to post here once preorders are available for Exile, but I make no promises on that front.

The Ballad of Alchemy and Steel: Coming April 30!
I began this novella first as a diversion, then it morphed into a project I wanted to dedicate to my brother. (I promised him a few years ago that I’d dedicate Guardian to him – it’s book 2 in The Caein Legacy – but this novella went to him as well.) For those who follow my newsletter, you already know that I gifted him the very first hard cover copy in existence for his birthday in March.
The Ballad of Alchemy and Steel is a companion novella to The Relics of War, set in the years prior to the events of the trilogy. It features the story of Jal’den and Sal’zar, a pair of Murkor entangled in the Kal’s bid for freedom from the Soulless in the main series. The novella focuses on the happier story of their friendship and later, their life pairing union of ujar’havel.
This work provides an in-depth view of the Murkor culture not encountered in the trilogy. While it’s considered a clean romance (no intimate scenes), it has a bit of action, too. Ever wonder how Jal’den was chosen to train with the god of war? You’ll find out!
I loved how this story came together, and I hope you do, too.
Please note: This story contains LGBTQ+ themes. It won’t be for everyone, and that’s ok. I originally wrote this piece for my brother.

Ravin is an anomaly amongst those who use magic. He refuses to join the Council of Auras and tie his fate to the wizards, and long ago escaped a terrible fate amongst the Enlightened, called the Shadow Council by some. His escape gave him freedom few others with his power enjoy, and he means to keep it, no matter the cost.
Serving as an advisor to the Deluchan queen, Ravin learns a powerful relic is kept deep within the catacombs below the palace. War is on Delucha’s doorstep, brought about by none other than the council he fled from and their Soulless leaders. He resolves to retrieve the relic in order to combat the imminent threat, but collecting the Talisman of Delucha is not without its own danger.
As the Soulless’ army prepares to besiege the Deluchan capitol, Ravin makes one final, desperate attempt to secure the Talisman. The kingdom’s survival depends on his success, but time is not on his side.
