Live from KYGT
On Saturday, I got to go to the beautiful Idaho Springs for an interview with Jerry Fabyanic on KYGT--the GOAT. We touched on children's books, editing, art, community, and wanting to bottle a kid's curiosity. You can listen in below:January 14,KYGT, Idaho Springs: Interview with Theresa Howell, author of Scout Moore, Junior Ranger and other books for kids

Leading up to the interview, I was afraid I wouldn't have much to talk about, but as it turns out, you couldn't shut me up!

A Junior Ranger is Born
Scout Moore, one Junior Ranger extraordinaire, was released into the world in October.
To celebrate the release of the book, I traveled to Grand Canyon, the place that stole Scout's heart, and down to Flagstaff for the Northern Arizona Book Festival. It was a wonderful weekend of books, astonishing beauty, and inspiring friends. Here are some of the highlights of my trip.

Chalk Murals
You don't have to be a professional artist to bring your community together to create something beautiful. On a gray and chilly day, dozens of kids came out to a reading of Maybe Something Beautiful, and then together we lit up the plaza with brightly colored chalk. It was beautiful and simple.Anyone can do it. Do you know why?Because..."You, my friends, are all artists."
