We are the co-writing team, FICTION BY PHOENIX, Lee & Gary Jordan, co-authors of Magical Realism, which takes place in a world that resembles our own, except for the introduction of magical elements, which cannot be explained by the conventions of our reality.

With love for the supernatural, we ask, “What if…?” What if the myth of the Loch Ness Monster is true? What if there was a secret society of paranormal people? What if we could figure out how to travel in time?

Our stories take place in the real world but bend reality.

Why? Because reality is boring.

Even if I feel awful, don't feel like writing, or have no idea what I'm going write, I just put my fingers on the keys and write. Eventually, the Muse kicks in. One thing I do, is pull up the manuscript and start doing some editing. The creative juices kick in and I'm off and running. (less)

Have you ever opened a book or your Kindle and gotten into say the third or fourth chapter and asked yourself is there a story here? Or become kind of bored or even impatient with it and were not sure Read more of this blog post »

“Anu was the Nibiru leader who sent the colonists to Earth, led by his two sons, Enlil and Enki. The purpose of the mission was to find gold, which they found in abundance along with riches beyond their belief.
However, what else did they find?
Or, better asked, who?”
Phoenix Reads, Shakti and The Prince

“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.”
J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

“Authors like cats because they are such quiet, lovable, wise creatures, and cats like authors for the same reasons.”
Robertson Davies

“Nine had heard whisperings that the secretive Bilderberg Group was effectively the World Government, undermining democracy by influencing everything from nations' political leaders to the venue for the next war. He recalled persistent rumors and confirmed media reports that the Bilderberg Group had such luminaries as Barack Obama, Prince Charles, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, Tony Blair, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George Bush Sr. and George W. Bush. Other Bilderberg members sprung forth from Nine’s memory bank. They included the founders and CEOs of various multinational corporations like Facebook, BP, Google, Shell and Amazon, as well as almost every major financial institution on the planet.”
James Morcan, The Ninth Orphan
