Juan Murillo (San José, Costa Rica, 1971) publicó la colecciones de cuentos Algunos se hacían dioses (EUCR 1996), En contra de los Aviones (ECR 2011), La isla de los muertos (Germinal 2012) y La costa luminosa(ECR, 2018). Compiló y publicó, junto con Guillermo Barquero, la antología Historias de nunca acabar: antología del nuevo cuento costarricense (ECR 2009), con quién, además, fundó Ediciones Lanzallamas en 2009.
