Reading 'Prince of the City: The Cats Whiskers' by Mackenzie Brown

I'm a fan of Mr. Brown already, so I was intrigued by his new book, 'The Prince of the City: The Cat's Whiskers'.

Writing 40's style crime novels is an art that few dare anymore, mores the shame. But Mackenzie Brown has nailed it.

In this novel, Mackenzie Brown has brought to life a wonderful gumshoe who grabs you and pulls you into the story. You care about Vic Prince and his struggles as a black detective in war torn Liverpool.

Great supporting characters, multiple plot lines that are not obvious and smooth dialog.

I'm hoping there is more to come!
