Some of you aren’t gonna like this…
…but I can’t stop myself.
As long as you pretend your life is fabulous on facebook®, you’ll never live a fabulous life.
There’s no denying it, the one thing I am is candid. And the one thing I haven’t been candid enough about is my full-on contemptof fakebookers.
Fakebookers: A frightening andever-growing segment of the facebook world thatconsists mostly of whacked-out women who want to perpetuate the myth that their less-than-desirable lives are out-of-this-world fantastic.
I place facebook user...

Kurt or Leo?
Kurt or Leo? Who will it be? Who do you want it to be?
In Panic, Chrissy says, there’s no way I can root for or against either of them. I love them both.
I have to be perfectly honest. At times it was very easy for me to root for one more than the other. I hated Kurt at the end of The Life List. Was it just me or did anyone else notice he knew nothing about what his wife liked? I mean taking her bowling! Sometimes I wonder if he was doing things to purposely push her away. Maybe that’s why I fe...

Passion. How important is it?
In (chapter) Pain, Dr. Maria says…
“Even marriages that start off with the best of intentions sometimes aren’t strong enough to support all of the changes people go through.”
I can speak from personal experiences that married people change, and sometimes a marriage is not strong enough to support the change that person is going though. I was married at 19, and divorced at 22, all because I changed, and my marriage was not strong enough to support my change and my husband didn’t want to grow an...

Do you think less of her?
The more time I put into The List Trilogy books the more I fall in love with Chrissy. I mean how could you not? Some of us want to smack her, some of us wanna hug her, and let’s face it some of us ARE her. Chrissy hides nothing from her readers, I mean she even brings up the controversial subject of abortion and admits to having one when she was 17. It wasn’t my plan to jump to this part of The Life List, but since someone commentedabout itthe other day, I’d like to talk about it now. (I’ve a...

Can we PLEASE talk about these damn books?
Chrissy grabbed me by the heart with her first two books, and I’m patiently (not really) waiting for The Hope List. In the meantime, I hope you’ll join me in discussing some highlights of The Life List and The Unexpected List. I hope you enjoy, but most of all, I hope you feel free to express your own opinions.
My first impression of Chrissy was that she reminded me a lot of myself. At first, we don’t see the best side of Chrissy, and I have to admit she lays it all on the line and lets us see...

Darla’s in a pickle…
That pretty much sums up Darla’s pickle, but here’s her emailwhich goes into much more detail.Let’s read and offerher some much needed advice.
I met my “Leo” when I was 22 and he was 32. For too many reasons to name (one being he was going thru a divorce) I broke it off. Much like your Leo’s age scared you, my “Leo’s” divorce scared me. Anyway, a year later at 23 I met my husband, at 24 I was engaged, at 25 married. I married an amazing man, a good man and I love him and he is my best friend....

Chapter 8- Glowing
April, 2001
“Wait outside until I call you in.”
His face is screaming, “Dear God, please don’t tell me you have a husband to hide,” but he’d never say it out loud. He’ll do anything to forget about the fact that I used to have one of those things.
After a kiss that reassures me I’m about to get nailed nice and hard, I scurry inside the cottage to light the three thousand candles I set up a few hours ago. Then, hurriedly picking my thong out of my butt while simultaneously applying lip gloss, I g...
Chapter 7- Finally
April, 2001
“Baby, over here!”
Forgetting for a minute that I’m in Oakland and there are about twenty people in a five foot radius that would have zero problem jacking my car, motor still running, I jump out of it and attack Leo’s face.
“I missed you so much!”
“Not as much as I’ve missed you.” Pointing to the rolling cart behind him, “Is that cottage of yours prepared to handle this last load?”
Clinging to him tightly, I whisper, “You mean…that cottage of ours.”
After getting my final ear-full from...

Chapter 6- Recapitulating
Already (adverb) al*read*y:
Indicating that something has happened before now, happened in the past before a particular time, or will have happened by or before a particular time in the future.
April, 2001
“For the third time, lady, you can’t park here! Keep it movin’ or I’m gonna ticket your ass!”
Punching the gas, I think, Jesus, when did this place turn into New York?
No biggie though. Driving in these circles gives me time to think about everything that’s happened since Kelly died in February....
