"A fantastically strange book filled with love & humanity, which is impressive considering none of the main characters are human. Set in the distant future, this book gives strong insights into today’s world."

Everybody Wants to Rule the World Except Me (Dark Lord Davi, #2):
"An absolutely stunning conclusion to a quirky fun novel. This book is filled with heartfelt humanity and learning to deal with consequence all while maintaining its snarky narration. "

This could have been a really good book, but the storytelling was not there. I know Fairbanks. I was there when this happened. I made it through [the book and living in Alaska], but I can’t recommend it.
"The reverse narrative style is intriguing, but the chronic drinking and unhappiness make the middle parts of this rather dull."

Adorable! I loved all the characters, but Olivetti was my favorite!

Breezy storytelling about some heavy family matters, told with humor and humility. We are all human. We make mistakes. We mess up our children in ways we will never escape from.

This was not my book. There were so many things I didn’t enjoy, other than the company through many traffic jams.

“It's a tough job being somebody's personal assistant. You have to anwser their phone, manage their correspondence, run their errands, pay their bills, arrange their schedule, and basically do whatever tasks, menial to major, they are too busy or self absorbed or distracted or pampered or disinterested to do themselves.”

“...when you are constantly prevailing upon the kindness of strangers-as a hitchhiker must-it keeps you in a positive frame of mind. Call it Zen and the Art of Hitchhiking. The Way of the Lift. The chrysanthemum and the Thumb. Heady on beer and the sound of my own voice, the aphorisms spilled out unchecked.”
