“Warning: This read will cause lack of sleep! You wont want to put it down!
July 13, 2016 by Francine Baia
This was a long awaited novel in the Sword of the God series and it was most definitely well worth the wait. The author provides an all encompassing look into the inner thoughts and machinations of each character which is commanding. She tackles several serious subjects that are current in today’s society, including PTSD and how it affects people differently and the devastation it causes on family. Several love stories are explored which keeps the readers on edge and wanting more. The integration of languages and cultures are seamless and readily understandable which bolsters the depth of the multiple storylines and at times is masterfully interlaced with comic relief. This is truly an enjoyable read that you will find difficult to put down. Anxiously anticipating the next installment!”

Tracy wrote: "I didn't realize you were an attorney. I've often considered going to law school but not sure how to fit it into my life yet or pay for it..."I love what I learned in law school, but the truth is that unless you get into it when you're 23 years old, go to an 'ivy league' law school, have no family or other encumbrances to support, and are willing to work 170 hours per week, and work at least 2-3 years 'interning' for next to no pay for a judge or a big law firm, you will never earn the money they promise you'll earn. Believe it or not, most lawyers make less than $50,000 per year. On the other hand, I've met some fantastic people, helped a lot of people, I have a legal self-help guide published under my real name, and there's a certain amount of respect that comes when you tell people you're an attorney.
If you can't go until you're 58, then I suggest you take some paralegal classes at your local community college. Paralegals get paid well compared to the time/money they invest into getting certified, there are many more jobs available to them with less nasty working conditions, and you'll learn many of the same discernment skills (though not all). You won't have our extensive overarching grasp of caselaw, but paralegals usually practice in a limited field (such as real estate law or business law), so you can become pretty well-versed in that field.

I'm -LIVE- today on the MYKITAAB INDIA podcast with Amar Vyas :-) talking about my legal background, how I got into writing, and some advice about getting translations and also avoiding the scammers. Amar has been a wonderful friend and resource as I've expanded my reach worldwide, so we had a great time!

Why thank you, Lanie! I hope you have a joyous holiday as well, with lots of interesting books and other goodies under the tree :-)
