Born in India, of medical missionary parents, Tim knew from the time he could talk that what he was going to do was to be a physician. But that knowledge did not impede his other interests, which include (but are not limited to) reading, writing, photography, painting and music.
His first venture into the world of writing fiction began in 1989, at which time he wrote what became his first novel. However, it did not get published until he completed the trilogy, long after the beginning of this writing effort. Now, we have The Book of Drachma, Part One - Laminar Flow, with Part Two - Coaptation, and Part Three - Turbulence and Restoration. All three are now available in hardcover, paperback, as e-books, and audiobooks.

But to promise to read it within a certain amount of time - that I could not do. For my work as a physician, as well as my numerous other interests, including writing, painting, photography, and, of course, reading do take up much of my time. Also your book would be a welcome addition to my to-read shelf with all of the above considerations.(less)

Shepperton's Sacrifice, Heir of Drachma, Book Three

Well, here is the next chapter of Shepperton's Sacrifice, Heir of Drachma, Book Three. In this chapter I've brought back our intrepid duo of the twentieth century doings, which somehow intertwines with the fifteenth century - more to come!

“We are nearly powerless in our own time, and with our skills, but power will come to future generations, power to harm and to heal. Our task is to observe and record with absolute honesty, to provide fertile soil for the healing power to grow uncorrupted.”
Timothy Cook, Laminar Flow

“And now, in the middle of the night, in this place and time, I hear this music, and it brings me a sense that I do belong, in someone's strange logic, right here at this time.”
Timothy Cook, Coaptation

“It is as if you have described a symphony of Beethoven accurately, with all the notes right, and the dynamics, and the pace of the symphony; but without hearing it, you miss the truth of it. For with music, as with life, the truth is not found in the describing, but in the actual participating.”
Timothy Cook, Turbulence and Restoration

“O, to be sure, we laugh less and play less and wear uncomfortable disguises like adults, but beneath the costume is the child we always are, whose needs are simple, whose daily life is still best described by fairy tales.”
Leo Rosten

Timothy Cook Actually, Lucinda, Turbulence and Restoration is the third book in my fantasy trilogy, and I recommend reading the other two books first. The first in the series is called Laminar Flow, is a quick read, and it sets the stage for the other two books. The second book is called Coaptation, and the whole series is called The Book of Drachma.
Enjoy!
