Snow Falling on Canvas – Manaslu Dispatch #6

September 18-21st The snow has been falling heavily at base camp, coating everything in a blanket of white. Periodically throughout the night, my tent would shake as the Sherpas attempted to keep it clear of… View Post

Puja, Party and Acclimatisation Routine – Manaslu Dispatches #4 & #5

September 12-14th, 2019 I’ve grown accustomed to falling asleep to the patter of rain on the tent roof, as it’s still the tail end of the monsoon season in the Gorkha district, where Manaslu is.… View Post

Home from Home – Manaslu Dispatch #3

Seeing the “Mountain of the Spirit” definitely lifted everyone’s spirits, and so the excitement at the prospect of moving to base camp was definitely heightened. Well, maybe for everyone except me. I’d woken up that… View Post

SINCERE APOLOGIES from Amy McCulloch

Hello!

If you have signed up to received updates to my blog via e-mail, I'm very sorry if you received a series of strange posts from me. I was attempting to update the design of my blog and imported a template - which then sent out some nonsensical blog posts before I could stop it! I've reverted everything back now, and I apologise for the invasion of your inbox. Hopefully normal service will resume now.

I'm not nearly as tech-savvy as my JINXED protagonist, obviously!

With love,

Amy

JINXED is a Book Expo America middle grade buzz book!

Great news! Not only is the JINXED cover from Sourcebooks the best thing I've seen (illustrated by Vivienne To) but it's about to hit the spotlight big time as a middle grade Buzz Book at Book Expo America next week. I'm very excited to be attending my first #BEA and I have brought an entire suitcase to fill with ARCs. The first ARCs of the US version of JINXED will be at BEA too - catch one if you can.

Here's my schedule if you want to catch me at BEA!

May 31st
9am - signing at Sourcebooks booth (#1629)
1:35pm - Middle Grade Book Buzz Authors panel at the Downtown stage

The Golden Compass for the digital age about an engineering star whose rebuilding of her salvaged 'smart pet' gains her entry into an elite technology academy, where she discovers a world of competition, intrigue, and her own family's secrets.

You can pre-order the US edition on Amazon already :) It's a bit different to the UK edition as it has been revised for a middle grade audience.
